At this moment, almost everyone knows the series “FIRST TERM FIRST FEEL,” which portrays love and friendship within the university walls. Today, we caught up with the two lead actresses , “Gigi – Natkrita” and “Piano – Pornyanee,” to talk in-depth about behind-the-scenes details, their level 10 shyness, and why these two seniors chose to study Performing Arts Communication at SPU?
Q1: Get to know these two seniors with their undeniable chemistry.
Gigi: Hello, I’m Gigi-Nattakrita Sangdamru. I’m a first-year student majoring in Performing Arts Communication. Many of you might recognize me from BNK48’s 3rd generation.
Piano: Hello, I’m Piano-Pornyanee Pornpichayawasin, a second-year student majoring in Performing Arts Communication. My past work includes freelance modeling and the Yuri series “I’m Your Moon.”
Q2: Why did you choose to study Performing Arts Communication at SPU?
Gigi: For me, the Performing Arts Communication program at SPU really delivers on the concept of ‘learning from real professionals.’ We get to do real work and experience working on set, which I feel is an experience you can’t find anywhere else. I’ve developed my acting skills a lot, and importantly, it’s very convenient to get to class because the university is right next to the Bang Bua BTS station. You get off the train and you’re there! Life has become so much easier.
Piano: The Performing Arts Communication program at Sripatum University’s Faculty of Communication Arts doesn’t just teach you how to perform on stage. You learn the fundamentals, both in front of and behind the scenes of acting, including makeup, costume design, scriptwriting, and how to be a good actor. Importantly, SPU has a great location in the heart of the city, making it convenient to commute to work, auditions, and film sets. It’s perfect for someone like me working in the entertainment industry!
Q3: Where did it all begin...? Let's start with the series "FIRST TERM FIRST FEEL".
Gigi: I started by competing in the Brand Ambassador contest for the Faculty of Communication Arts at SPU. After gaining that experience, I tried auditioning for this series. I have to say, I was so excited because it was my first time acting, but the opportunity came, and I had to seize it. When I found out I passed the audition, I was so happy.
Piano: As for me, the director contacted me. He probably saw my Instagram, and then the university just handed me over (laughs). Once the role was in my hands, I had to go for it!
Q4: How did you feel when you found out you'd be playing opposite each other?
Gigi: I’m doubly excited because this is my first Yuri pairing! But I’m so lucky that my partner is Piano. Piano is so lovely, both on screen and in real life. I was really shy working with her, I’ll admit that right now. (shy smile)
Piano: At first, I was a little worried about who I’d be acting opposite, but once I found out it was Gigi and we talked, I found out she’s very friendly. Working with her was so much fun. I have to say, I felt shy both on and off screen. If I have the chance, I’d love to act with her again.
Q5: Tell us about your most "feel-good" memory from your first semester.
Gigi: If I were to talk about feel-good memories, there are so many that I couldn’t possibly list them all. Since I started studying here, I’ve met so many lovely friends and seniors, and the professors have been so supportive and helpful. The learning environment and overall atmosphere here have left a lasting impression, and I feel I made the right choice in studying at Sripatum University.
Piano: The feel-good thing that happened last semester for me was discovering that the noodle shop on the first floor of the cafeteria sells the best Tom Yum noodle soup with boiled egg I’ve ever had in my life. I was so surprised; I’ve been here for two years and this is the first time I’ve ever tasted it. I want everyone to try it; it’s amazing!
Q6: What message would you like to give to students in the DEK69 graduating class who are interested in the Faculty of Communication Arts at SPU?
Gigi: I want to tell prospective students who are considering studying Communication Arts, majoring in Performing Arts, at Sripatum University that here you will learn from real-world professionals in the industry, get hands-on experience, and gain real-world experience outside the classroom that you can truly apply in the future. I hope to see all the students from the 2026 cohort and beyond! See you soon!
Piano: Come join the SPU Communication Arts family! I hope everyone has fun and enjoys themselves as much as I do. Don’t forget to try the Tom Yum noodles like I did and tell them you came from Piano, so the vendor might give you a special treat! Hahaha (laughs) Just kidding! Come study here, it’s so much fun and there are activities all year round!
