Advanced Manufacturing
Learn from real-world experts: CPE447 opens practical access to Computer Vision for industry-ready graduates
The School of Information Technology at Sripatum University advanced student capabilities in CPE447 Machine Vision by inviting an expert from CiRA AMI (Advanced Manufacturing Innovation), King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, to deliver an experience-based session on Machine Vision and advanced manufacturing.
The class centered on turning “images into data” so computers can see, analyze, and understand the physical world. Students explored concepts and workflows of Computer Vision and AI that are applied in real industrial and intelligent systems—gaining a clear view of how these technologies drive efficiency and quality in smart manufacturing. The session highlighted pathways to careers in vision engineering and AI for factories of the future.
Designed as a learn-from-practitioner experience, the class enabled students to ask targeted questions, align expectations with industry needs, and understand the skills employers value. It strengthened systems thinking, engineering mindset, and job-ready capabilities essential for building Machine Vision solutions.
By bringing external expertise directly into SPU’s classroom, the course reduces barriers to cutting-edge learning. Students accessed up-to-date knowledge and first-hand insights without waiting for internships, making the curriculum more responsive to the tech job market and supporting lifelong skill development.
CPE447 anchors future-proof competencies—Computer Vision, AI, and Smart Manufacturing—so SPU graduates can transition confidently into technology roles with both knowledge and an application-focused mindset.
