I graduated from the Faculty of Accountancy, Sripatum University with second class honors in 2001. I have now been working at the Comptroller General’s Department for 21 years. The Comptroller General’s Department is a government agency whose mission is to control and supervise the spending of government and government agencies to ensure that it is correct, disciplined, worthwhile, transparent, and auditable. In my previous work experience at the Comptroller General’s Department, I oversaw extra-budgetary funds, funds, and various revolving funds. I was responsible for internal auditing, internal control, and risk management of government agencies, both in setting criteria for various practices and evaluating the quality of work in this area.
The student life at Sripathum is very important in giving me knowledge, ideas, and experiences in the areas of accounting, internal auditing, and other areas. The capable lecturers are ready to provide me with knowledge and understanding, and are caring like a family who has always taken care of me. This has resulted in me being knowledgeable, careful, and having continuous experiments during my study period. Also, participating in activities with the faculty is important and I think it is very important in learning about life. I was given the opportunity by the faculty to be the president of the accounting student body, which was a great thing. Also, all the juniors who worked together on activities during that time have good jobs after graduating. This will give us experience in living together, managing people, managing work, and making decisions, like a simulation field before we enter real life work.
What I want to tell you is that coming to study at Sripatum, especially the Faculty of Accountancy, you will definitely get more than just academic knowledge. The faculty team has the knowledge and ability and has a way for us to learn about life. The care that they give is excellent. And I want you to be diligent while studying. When there are activities, I want you to join them because studying alone may not be enough. We should join the various activities of the faculty in order to gain experience in every aspect and prepare ourselves well for entering the real working world.
