Hello, first of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Prae. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. The reason I chose to study here is because Sripatum University is a famous private university that has been open for a long time. Therefore, I am confident in the teaching curriculum of the teachers here. As for the faculty I chose to study, it came from my vocational studies in Accounting. Moreover, I feel that calculating numbers and doing math is fun and I use my brain. ^^ Here, they teach us both in the classroom, organize training courses, have activities for us to join, and also have internships and real work training at companies and accounting offices. For those who have just graduated, whether in general or vocational fields, and are looking for a good university or faculty of Accounting, I would like to recommend the Faculty of Accounting at Sripatum University as an option.
After talking about studying, let’s talk about working. Currently, I work at Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited as an accountant. I’ve been working here for 5 years. It’s my first job since I graduated. Choosing a place to work is important. I chose a public company first because I saw that it was a large company listed on the stock exchange. When I first looked for a job, I applied to many places and interviewed with many companies. At first, I was afraid because I had never worked full-time before. I was afraid that I would be able to do it or if it would be the same as when I was studying. Until Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited called me for an interview and hired me. The reason I decided to work here was because I looked at the company structure and it was the number 1 insurance company in Thailand with high business stability. The benefits and things we would get in return from here were all okay. So I signed the contract. When I started working as a full-time accountant and started working, I realized that it wasn’t as scary as I thought. We can really apply the knowledge we have learned to our work. Each line of work uses different knowledge in different departments, but I assure you that what you have learned will definitely be useful. Like me, I work in the field of receiving money. Every 1st to 7th of every month, I will close the accounts. From what I have studied, I think closing the accounts will be difficult, right? But when I actually start working, it is not difficult at all. No matter what kind of work, when we get to do the work, we will see the real picture. It will be clearer than when we studied. We will understand what the work is like, whether it is various taxes, VAT-TAX. While studying, we may not understand this, but I believe that all of you can do it. I am not a very good student, but my experience, knowledge, and every effort will push us to grow up and work well. We just have to keep learning more. If any company has a project to attend training and learn more like my company, I would like to recommend that you attend the training course that the company provides. It is very good for us. Finally, I think that I did not make the wrong choice to study accounting because accounting careers are in demand in the market. I think that no one can do the job for me except for those who have studied accounting. It means that we have a professional skill and will not be unemployed for sure. I would like to encourage all of you.
