Hello, my name is Lalit Suda Jenchat, or you can call me Aida. I am currently working as a legal officer at the Department of Special Investigation. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law, Sripatum University. The reason I chose to study law is because it has been my passion since I was a child. Knowing and understanding the law is something exciting, and I want to learn all the time.
SPU is the first private university that has Faculty of Law
The reason for choosing to study at Sripatum University, I must say that I was impressed by the guidance counselors who came to give me advice. I also studied the history of the university and learned that Sripatum University was the first private university to offer law courses. This gave me confidence and made the decision to choose to study here. In addition, the atmosphere is good and very inviting to study. SPU Law was the first private university to offer this course. We have to choose the best, right?
#Law students don't need to be nerds.
For me, when it’s time to study, I pay attention. When it’s time to play, I give it my all. Law students aren’t nerds like everyone thinks. We all have a side that we need to relax a bit. We don’t read books all the time. We can go out and socialize, but we might be a bit crazy because we read a lot. We might be repressed.
SPU has a unique and unusual name for its cafeteria.
The university atmosphere is family-like and the air conditioning is very cold. The name of the cafeteria is quite unique. Both “Rong Ron” and “Rong Yen” are considered the signature names of this place.
Path to a DSI Legal Career
Being a legal officer at the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) started when Ida was an intern. She was diligent, patient, and always sought knowledge. She was responsible, punctual, and humble. Her colleagues saw her abilities and asked her to come work with them. However, she had to go through the application and interview process.
Qualifications of a Legal Counsel
Being a good lawyer should have good responsibility, be punctual, be knowledgeable, careful, understand the law, be able to give legal advice, and must always seek new knowledge.
A message to young people who want to work in the legal field
I would like to say this to the students who want to study law and have a dream of working in the legal field: if you have determination and believe in yourself, you can do it. Law may be a difficult faculty to study because you have to read books and memorize legal texts. Sometimes it can discourage you, but if you have determination and think about success, you will get through it. Law is not as difficult as you think.
