Quiz activity: Ice cream stick structure in truss form
One of the most important teaching media in the field of civil engineering is to give students an opportunity to apply their knowledge gained from their studies to gain understanding and reach tangible results. The Faculty of Engineering, Sripatum University, has organized a project, a quiz activity, an ice cream stick structure in the form of a truss, to allow students to apply their knowledge about structural design, helping to develop engineering thinking in students, as well as cultivating habits in planning and working together.
The challenge used in this competition is to analyze, design, assemble and test the structure of an ice cream wooden bridge in a truss structure with a span of 2.00 meters and a load of not less than 80 kilograms (Kgf.).
The scoring criteria are divided into 3 parts.
1. Structural strength 40 points
2. Efficiency of the 30-kaya structure
3. Savings 30 points
The competition will be held on Sunday, April 2nd from 1:00 PM onwards at the multipurpose building. Anyone interested can join the event without having to register in advance. See you there!
