Hello, I graduated from the Faculty of Accountancy, Sripatum University. The reason I chose to study in this faculty is because the accounting profession is stable and there are many different career paths, whether it’s auditing or accounting. The accounting profession is not open to people who graduated from other fields because accounting is a specialized job that requires deep knowledge and understanding of the content of the work.
After graduating, I went to work in the auditing field. In auditing, we have to check the accuracy and completeness of accounts, examine financial documents, transfers of various items, traded securities, costs, assets, liabilities, profits, depreciation, and other related daily accounting items, etc. The auditor himself has to get to know and understand the business in detail, all related systems, until the entire process of the business is complete, in order to consider all information and find any errors that may occur. It is a field of work that is not boring because it makes you know about various business systems.
Currently, I work as an accountant. I collect and record accounting data to summarize financial reports, prepare financial statements, present information on the company’s performance and financial position, and analyze financial reports.
As mentioned, the accounting profession has many career paths for us to choose from. But the important thing is that “no matter which career path we work in”, every company or organization needs an accounting department, no matter how big or small. They are all competing to get accountants or auditors with more experience, with offers and higher compensation. Try to find a career path in accounting that you like and are happy with the work you do.
