CFO The ultimate goal of an accountant’s journey

The path of an accountant that everyone expects and sets as a goal in life is to be in the highest position in the profession. The most important thing on the journey is the weapons that must be with you. I am a person in the Finance industry. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking and a master’s degree in Finance and Banking, which is considered to be incomplete weapons. That is, studying accounting. Of course, educational institutions are very important to be a path to the path that I have set as a goal. Therefore, I decided to choose a leading university, Sripatum University. After graduating, I worked as a CFO: Director of Accounting and Finance with pride because I was confident in the knowledge I received from the educational institution and my experience working in this profession all along.

Why CFO: Director of Accounting and Finance

  1. High returns because they are the ones who oversee the stability and growth of the organization and are the ones who stand beside the CEO, the highest executive of the organization.
  2. It is the highest position in the accounting profession in the private sector, which is considered an achievement for accountants in private sectors.
  3. To be selected as CFO, we must have the appropriate qualifications, including qualifications, age, and readiness in all aspects.
  4. When we overcome problems and obstacles, we become people with enormous positive energy.

What do you have to contend with before becoming a CFO?

  1. Having the right qualifications means having deep knowledge and understanding of theories of accounting, finance, tax laws, and knowledge in many other areas because real life requires a lot of knowledge in this area. Therefore, you must study and find knowledge for yourself all the time, develop yourself all the time, and never stop learning.
  2. Sacrifice is required . Of course, accounting is a very tough job. We in the accounting industry understand this very well. Therefore, being a CFO requires sacrificing personal time because we cannot know what situation we will encounter with the assigned duties. But what is certain is that we must finish it quickly because every second is a loss if we are slow to act.
  3. The higher the pressure , the colder it gets. This phrase is probably appropriate for the position of CFO, as he has to manage the company’s money and investments. If he makes the wrong decision, the company may face incalculable damages. Therefore, he has to face pressure all the time. But if we can overcome it, it will create enormous power for us, and the success of leading the organization to survive and grow will be a great encouragement for us.

How to study and work at the same time? How to do it?

  1. You have to be disciplined. Discipline is important because we have limited time. So you have to schedule your work and review your study material to create a balance of time and not be too heavy before the exam.
  2. We must be patient and always keep our main goal in mind.
  3. While studying, you should visualize your work alongside your studies, which will help you understand the content.
Learning, when we understand and visualize, everything becomes easier.
  4. Do the exercises and review them to build understanding.
  5. Be mindful during the exam and read the questions thoroughly because every word in a financial statement is important.

Being an accountant requires patience and focusing on life goals. Then we will not be discouraged along the way. When we encounter problems, we must quickly solve them. Nothing comes easy, but there is nothing that we cannot do.
