Back in the past, in 1999, I intended to study at Sripatum University, student number 423XXX and I still remember my student number. I was a student who had to work and study at the same time (or you could call it an evening student). Sripatum University has various study periods for students to choose to study in order to increase their educational opportunities. In the past, I was an accountant for a private company that did accounting for educational institutions in the Thai-Tech group of schools between 1997 and 2008. I started studying at Sripatum University in 1999-2001 and received my Bachelor of Accountancy in 2002.
Accounting Perspective
Accounting is changing all the time. It has a clear impact on people/businesses. Accounting has introduced technology to help make it more convenient. Simply put, everything in this world is entering the digital age. There are many accounting programs to help make it more convenient for us. Therefore, learning the basics of accounting is important, which can be learned at this university as well.
I was hired as an employee of the Provincial Waterworks Authority through a selection examination and have been working as an accountant since 2008 – present, working at the head office.
- Property Management Division, Finance and Accounting Department, 2008 – 2019 Responsibilities: Manage the organization’s assets in the Head Office, such as asset acquisition, annual asset count, asset disposal, transfer, etc.
- Waterworks Division 5, Deputy Governor (Operation 5), 2019 – present. Responsibilities: Work on all types of budgets and others of the Provincial Waterworks Authority, which has service areas in 14 provinces: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Phuket, Phang Nga, Ranong and Chumphon, Songkhla, Pattani, Narathiwat, Yala, Satun, Trang and Phatthalung, with a total of 44 Provincial Waterworks Authority branches out of a total of 234 branches nationwide.
However, at present, no matter what type of business, accountants are still needed. I believe that accounting affects the lives of everyone. If any of you are interested in accounting, you should learn from the basics to understand. Even though in the future, some people’s work may not use accounting as the main subject, we can still apply the basics of accounting to our work appropriately.
