12 years ago, starting life in Bangkok was not easy for kids from the provinces. Choosing to study accounting was not something most people would choose at that time, especially studying a vocational track (Vocational Certificate). As I was a science-mathematics high school student, it made it even more difficult to choose to study accounting. After finishing the Vocational Certificate, starting at university was just beginning, and it was the last phase of my education at that time. And Sripatum University was the best choice for me at that time.
Sripathum University is another home that provides opportunities, knowledge, friends and lovely teachers. Studying here is something that makes us very confident in ourselves for children from the province who come to study in Bangkok because all teachers can approach us without worry. It makes us feel warm. There are many opportunities here, whether it’s listening to experiences from successful businessmen or updating accounting knowledge directly from experts. It can be used as a guideline for real work. After graduating from this house, I remember that I was the first in the group to get a job. And during the job interview, when the future supervisor asked “Where did you graduate from?”, I answered “Graduated from Sripathum University”. And the answer I got was that children who graduated from here are good. I like them. And I have many younger siblings who graduated from here. I feel very proud and remember it all the time. And the company that chose me is “DKSH”. It is the first place I have worked until now, which has been 7 years. “DKSH” is a company that has been established for more than 100 years. I feel stable because 2 years later, there was a problem with COVID-19. Here, I work in the position of cost and inventory. The main work here is calculating the cost of goods received, calculating margins, and counting stock. Working here is always exciting. When I was studying, I thought I liked taxes all along, but now I really like costs.
The past work has made me understand that believing in oneself makes us more confident in our work and results in good work. But believing in this place does not mean acting like a full glass of water, but it is believing that we will be able to do it and do it well, such as choosing to study a vocational field, choosing to study at a private university like “Sripathum” and working in the cost field. Therefore, be confident in doing that thing that we can do it ourselves and everything will be worry-free, creating good things. And finally, choosing to study accounting at “Sripathum” is a choice that, if I think back, I will choose here as usual.
