“Experience” is a valuable asset.

Everyone has a goal that they want to achieve. But before reaching that point, it is necessary to take action to gain experience or a path to reach the goal. I myself am one of those people who have a goal that I want to achieve. After graduating for 1 month, I started looking for an accounting job to do in order to gain real-life work experience as quickly as possible. In addition, I wanted to learn how the accounting system works in an organization that has been established for 21 years. As we know, the accounting cycle consists of many components and can branch out into many paths.

At present, I have decided to try working in the accounts receivable side, in order to know what to do in this field, what are the main responsibilities, and what are the document routes for the debtors. Of course, I have gained a lot of experience in this field because I have upskilled in terms of communicating with other people both inside and outside the organization, planning work steps to be completed successfully and on time, and practicing being meticulous in my work because if I make a mistake, it will be a disaster for both the business and the employee.

This type of work is quite high pressure. It requires a lot of understanding and responsibility. But because of the high pressure, the experience gained is also high. So I am very glad to have the opportunity to try working in this field. I am grateful to myself for choosing to study in the Faculty of Accountancy at Sripatum University because this place helps me gain experience and apply what I have learned or the activities I have done while studying to my actual work. For example, the activities organized by the faculty for students to simulate being an entrepreneur made me know the basic working processes of the business, how to manage or control costs, and what kind of strategies can beat the competition.

Therefore, I would like to recommend to all the students who are looking for a faculty where they can study and gain real experience. They don’t have to wait until they graduate to know what the work process is and what they should do because the Faculty of Accountancy at Sripatum University can answer almost all of our questions.
