JBC signs MOU with Lopia Co., Ltd.

Strengthening cooperation in industry and education

The Japanese for Business Communication (JBC) program, School of Liberal Arts Sripatum University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lopia Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s famous supermarkets, to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia (Industry-Academia Collaboration). This collaboration will provide Student Affairs with the opportunity to intern in Japan.

The signing ceremony was held at the Boardroom, 14th floor, Building 11, Sripathum University, on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Time 13.00-14.00 hrs. with executives from both parties participating including:

🔹 Lopia Company

  • Mr. Kazuyoshi SHOJI, Executive Director
  • Mr. Satoshi SAEGUSA Manager
  • Panat Thitipaisan, Japanese language coordinator and interpreter

🔹 Sripathum University

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Wirach Lertpaitoonphan, Deputy Rector
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Paiboon Sukwichit Bar, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Yasumasa MORI Advisor to the Dean for International Affairs
  • Dr. Natthachai Sri-iam , Head of the Japanese for Business Communication Program

By Asst. Prof. Dr. Yasumasa MORI has started negotiations with Lopia Company since August 2024 and concluded the draft agreement on cooperation for internship opportunities in Japan in December before entering the internal approval process in January 2025.
