Do you believe in this saying? “Dreams and hard work” can come true!!!

Today, the admin would like to take everyone to become a steward with Phi Aun – Napop Khunphonsiri, an alumnus of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, majoring in English for Business Communication, Sripatum University. In addition to those who want to be flight attendants, the admin also believes that there are many young men who want to be stewards and are looking for information. So today, the admin would like to bring Phi Aun’s experience as a steward on Air Asia to read as inspiration.

People have "dream" Multiple routes available

Phi Aun: Hello everyone, my name is Aun – Napop Khunphonsiri, an alumnus of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, majoring in English for Business Communication, code 56, Sripatum University. I currently work as a flight attendant for AirAsia Airlines. When the COVID-19 situation hit, flights were suspended for a month, but they have started flying domestically again.

If everything is "ready We also have the power to learn.

Phi Aun: Let’s talk about the first impression that I really like is the learning equipment, the modernity, the readiness of the personnel. I feel that it is dynamic as the name suggests. So when all the tools are ready, it makes me feel like I have the power to learn here. While studying, I never felt that I lacked anything. Here, everything is always fully provided. Importantly, everything is sufficient for students. There is no need to compete or squeeze each other. You can actually work one-on-one with the equipment in front of you. The teachers here are kind. While studying, I became close to everyone.

The learning atmosphere here #So much fun

Phi Aun: Personally, I like speaking English anyway. When I came to study here, I got to meet a native speaker to teach me, which helped me practice listening and speaking more clearly and correctly. During the study, I had to present my work in English every week. At that time, I was very excited but also very happy. The atmosphere in the classroom was fun. Personally, Phi Aun transferred from another school, so I became a senior in the class. But all the juniors in the class were lovely. Even though we were different in age, we were still close friends.

It's even better if you don't have any basic knowledge. Come meet the real person and you will know the truth!

Phi Aun: I think it’s even more suitable for those who don’t have a basic understanding because you’ll meet real native speakers every day. We’ll be in an environment where we have to use the language in our studies for 4 full years, which makes everyone speak the language confidently. When you go out to work, you’ll have something to take with you. So if you don’t have anything to take with you from the start and come to SPU, it’s great for everyone. They bring real people in the industry and talented people to teach. I guarantee that everyone will definitely like it.

First choice "S J O W T"

Phi Aun: Phi Aun’s first path was as a steward. Before becoming a steward, I used to be a singer at KPN. I would go to work as a freelancer. I was a child chasing my dreams. But at one point, I thought that I was getting older. If I wanted to find a place to hold on to, I thought that it would be as a steward. If anyone wants to be a steward, I personally think that it’s not difficult. Because I like to talk and express myself, I see it as more of a challenge during the interview. I’m excited, scared, and nervous. But when I go to work, it’s not as difficult as when I’m interviewed. But we will meet 4,000 people, only 100 people will be accepted. The only thing that will make us more than halfway successful is that we have to be able to speak English. When the interview committee speaks English to us, if we are used to it, we are familiar with the accent of the words that come out, it will make us look less awkward. The only trick is that I can give you is that I have been listening to music on YouTube since I was a child. If we listen to a lot, we will be able to pick up the accent.

Problems arise every day, but we must adapt.

Phi Aun: When I first flew, I was very excited. I was so nervous that day because it was all new. It took about 3-4 months to adjust. For some people, it took a year because we met new coworkers every day. It was always changing. As for the problems we encountered, to be honest, they happened every day. Most of them were general problems.

"Page Owner Role" Pronounce it right

Phi Aun: The beginning came from the free time during the break from work due to the COVID-19 virus, which made me want to open a page to provide English knowledge tips and to review my knowledge. I think that pronunciation is very important for learning English. Thai children or Thai people in general may lack understanding in this area, making them not dare to speak, afraid of being teased about their accent. In fact, we should practice pronunciation first, and the accent will come later. If we speak with a very good accent, but pronounce it wrongly or syllables wrong, the meaning will change. So I wanted to share knowledge in this area, so I tried to open a page without expecting anything. We just provide knowledge and tricks about English, which has been open for half a year.

"Secret" Language proficiency from the owner of the language page

Phi Aun: The easiest way is to dare to speak first, and listen a lot. Start by changing from things around us first, change your own habits. When you go to watch a movie, try watching it with a soundtrack, when you read a newspaper, read the English version, or the easiest and easiest way is to go to YouTube. There are many tutorials on there that we have to collect as much as possible. Listen to a lot of native speakers, don’t worry about grammar yet, try speaking out loud first. When we keep speaking and listening more, we will be able to speak more fluently, and start to get the hang of it.

Everything is very convenient. I'd like you to come and experience it.

Phi Aun: If anyone has no language background at all, SPU is the answer. Most importantly, transportation is now a must. It is very convenient. There is a skytrain in front of the university. In terms of equipment, location, or transportation, everything is ready to facilitate our lives this easily. SPU is a very interesting university. I want you guys to try to experience the atmosphere here first. I can tell you that you might like it like me because when I have free time or get off work early, I want to come and see you guys and meet you like before. To be honest, I really miss the atmosphere here. If any of you want to ask me anything more, I am ready to come. I want to be an example, tell you the route, and share the experiences I have encountered.
