Phi Noi, a language scholarship student who swept all the singing awards
Hello everyone. My name is Noi. I am a scholarship recipient from the Sister University School Project, which is a scholarship that only one person can receive from each school. It is also a 100% scholarship, meaning that for the next 4 years, I do not have to pay for my own expenses. This makes me feel very lucky because this scholarship helps ease the burden on my parents. I used my singing ability to receive the scholarship. Although many people think that singing, dancing, and playing music do not have a future, today I have proven that this is what allows me to study for free without using my parents’ money at all.
Chinese is interesting and very important.
I thought for a long time about choosing a faculty because I wanted to study music. However, I thought that the Chinese language for business communication program at Sripatum University was a program that required me to study in Thailand for 3 years before going to China for 1 year. Moreover, Chinese is very important these days, so I decided without hesitation to choose this program.

For those of you who are thinking that you don’t have any basic knowledge, can you come and study? We can’t speak or read, can we come and study? I will tell you not to be afraid because at SPU, whether you have studied before or not, you can come and learn because they will lay the foundation for everyone before starting the real study. Another thing is that all the teachers are very kind and ready to support us in everything.
When learning a language, you must not be afraid to speak.
The most important thing about learning a language, no matter what language it is, is not to be afraid to speak. Whether it is right or wrong, just speak and answer questions. Try to participate in the classroom as much as possible because no matter what is right or wrong, the teacher will always correct you. Even if you speak incorrectly ten times, the teacher will be ready to teach you all ten times until you really understand it.
What you like + what you study = reward
I had the opportunity to use my abilities and what I had learned to compete in Chinese singing competitions many times and received many awards. The most recent award I received was the 2nd runner-up award in the CIAU CHINESE SINGING CONTEST at the university level at the Confucius Institute, Assumption University.
The outside world is full of talented people, so we must continue to develop ourselves.
Every time I receive an award, I say that the tiredness goes away because it’s not easy to get it. It requires diligence, practice memorizing Chinese lyrics, pronunciation, and gestures to convey emotions. All of this depends purely on understanding the lyrics. And most importantly, I like to meet the same contestants who have won first place before, those who are chasing awards. So it makes me feel discouraged sometimes, but I do my best. What we gain is meeting talented people, and seeing what the world is really like.
