The Doctor of Laws program at Sripatum University is a program of study that emphasizes on expanding education to produce doctoral degrees in the field of law who have knowledge and expertise in both theory and practice, are responsible and ethical, can work and communicate well with people in other professions, can learn and apply modern science to benefit society, to solve the problem of the shortage of high-level legal personnel for national development, and produce integrated research to enhance and apply it to benefit various agencies in the country.

Study plan

It is a course with two learning modes.
– Type 1: Completed a Master of Laws degree from an educational institution in the country or abroad that is certified by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, has at least 5 research projects, and must pass an assessment of research potential at the discretion of the program director. May be required to register for additional basic courses or register for courses for thesis writing.
– Type 2: Completed a Master of Laws degree from an educational institution in Thailand or abroad that is certified by the Office of the Higher Education Commission.

Study of 12 credit subjects

Semester 1: Study 2 subjects
– Advanced Legal Research Methodology N/C
– Legal Theory Concepts for 3-Credit Thesis

Semester 2: Study 3 subjects

– Rule of law, good governance and corporate governance 3 credits
– Seminar on Law and Development, 3 credits
– Seminar on the development of thesis outline, 3 credits
– Thesis 36 credits

Duration of study

The 3-year course has a study period of no more than 6 academic years.
