Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology

The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Information Technology focuses on cultivating students to understand the concepts and skills in conducting both Experimental Research and Survey Research in order to create outstanding works at the Cutting Edge level, with faculty members having in-depth expertise with research published in academic journals and international academic conferences, as well as experience and research works in the industrial sector.

Branch Highlights

Knowledge of information technology and practical aspects go hand in hand.

  • Focus on advanced research leading to innovation and solving problems of government, private sector, industry and society using modern information/digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, cyber security, big data and the Internet of Things.

  • The curriculum focuses on developing students’ deep understanding of concepts and skills in both experimental and survey research to produce outstanding and cutting-edge research.

  • Focus on research that integrates across disciplines and collaborates with industry to jointly define research questions and find innovative solutions using information/digital technology.

  • The curriculum is ready to support students to apply for national research grants, such as NRCT research grants, NRCT research grants, OHEC research grants, and NBTC research grants.

  • Faculty members are ready to provide research consultation to ensure successful completion of studies according to the study plan.
