Sripathum University, by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wirach Lertpaitoonphan, Vice President, together with AIS Business, Thai IoT Association, DEPA, DurianCorp, jointly announced the academic cooperation in IoT development with the aim of elevating and developing Thailand’s potential with IoT. The first collaboration will be organized by organizing the Thai IoT International Conference, the first academic conference on IoT in Thailand, co-hosted by the Faculty of Information Technology, Sripathum University. The format of the event will be a combination of an academic conference and a pitching session, where researchers with IoT-related works can present their work to exchange academic knowledge and can use their work to find business investors. The works to be presented in this event must have research support and be able to be further developed into a business or developed into a product.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Wirach Lertpaitoonphan, Vice President of Sripatum University, said that Sripatum University has collaborated with AIS and the Thai IoT Association in the dimension linked to the education sector to continuously develop personnel with knowledge in Internet of Things technology . Bringing academic research results to create opportunities and further develop into commercial products and elevate them to the international level is considered a new dimension that is worth supporting and will be able to lead to solving the problem of research results being put on the shelf in the future. It also leads to creating connections between the education sector and various industrial sectors.
For research topics on IoT from educational institutions, government agencies and private sectors both domestically and internationally, it will cover 8 topics: agriculture, tourism, health, industry, energy, logistics, management and social sciences, and other areas related to IoT.
