Currently, I work as a supervisory engineer in a consulting services company. The most widely known name in this field is probably a consultant. The project owner hires me to work with the main contractor to manage public utility construction projects such as high-rise buildings, factories, and others. I take care of the time, budget, and quality of the work. For me, choosing this career is a passion. In this career, before making a real decision, timing and opportunity are also a part of getting the job. But before everything comes, we should always prepare ourselves.
The past two years of working with an offshore oil drilling company (I didn’t write about it here) and six months for my current job, I would say that pursuing what we intend and are passionate about is something worth doing. In order to be successful in life, always think positively and always learn when we fail or make mistakes. Accepting mistakes is difficult, but if we are too stubborn and don’t accept anything, it is even more dangerous for ourselves and those around us. Learning and surviving in university is the same. The difference is that every time we make a mistake, there is always an opportunity to learn and fix it, which many outside societies don’t see. Finally, the important thing is the mindset.
Studying at Sripatum University, Faculty of Engineering has already created a good and necessary foundation. When we reach a point when we have to actually use it, we will pick it up and study it further in a specific way. Then we will get answers that we understand by ourselves, plus work experience. Solving problems will not be boring anymore and all of it will be knowledge that we will take with us.
