Naphat or Mr. Naphasakon Maikaew, a representative of engineering students or Brand Ambassador 2022 from the Faculty of Engineering, who just came down from the Freshy Day contest stage.
Freshy 1st year student in Civil Engineering, graduated from Satri Thungsong School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, who believes that “People must always be open to new things in order to use them to improve and develop themselves to move forward.”
What sparked your interest in studying engineering?
The inspiration that made me want to study engineering was my father. My father works as an engineer, a contractor for knock-down houses or other houses. So I have been involved in engineering since I was a child.
Why are you interested in an engineering career?
I think that being an engineer has many advantages, such as being able to find a job easily, being able to work in various departments, and most importantly, being paid well.
I chose to study engineering at the university.How did Sripathum come about?
Before deciding to apply, I researched the achievements of various institutions, including the Faculty of Engineering at Sripatum University, which has many outstanding and interesting achievements. That’s why I decided to choose this place.
How did you feel when you first met your teacher and friends?
When I first entered the faculty, I felt excited and amazed by the atmosphere where I encountered new things that I had never experienced in school. The teachers were lovely and all very friendly and easy-going. As for my classmates, they were a bit shy because everyone came from different places.
The subject that I am most interested in right now is
The subject is MAT155, a mathematics subject. It’s like going back in time to high school again.
Hum132 is a humanities course because it provides knowledge about different forms of life and opens up the worldview.
And also PE. We get to exercise and run around. Haha.
What is expected from the faculty?
In addition to engineering skills, knowledge, and expertise, it is probably the connections with seniors or teachers that will play a very important role in finding a job in the future.
I would like to tell my friends and younger siblings who are deciding on a field of study that
I would like to tell everyone not to pressure yourself and not let society pressure you. Do what you like. Being yourself is the best thing.
How do you see the future after taking your first steps on the engineering path today?
I think I want to study hard and finish within 4 years. I have good academic results that will allow me to find a job.
