Mr. Kecha Thirakomen has academic works, engineering textbooks, including fire safety standards, air conditioning and ventilation standards, engineering professional practice standards, mechanical engineer handbooks, building technology, and numerous academic articles published in both domestic and international journals. He has also devoted himself to the benefit of society by participating in the establishment and management of many professional associations, such as the Air Conditioning Engineering Association of Thailand, the Thai Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers Association, the Thai Green Building Institute, the Council of Engineers, and the Engineering Institute of Thailand under Royal Patronage, to the point that he has been internationally recognized and received important honorary awards, such as Outstanding Engineer in Energy Conservation, Ministry of Science, in 1998, Quality Person of the Year 2010 by the Foundation of the Science and Technology Council of Thailand, and the international honorary ASHRAE Fellow Award from the ASHRAE Association, USA, in 2009.
With the achievements of Mr. Kecha Thirakomen who initiated, created and developed engineering works that were of great benefit to society and the country, and who also devoted himself to benefiting society, which was evident both domestically and internationally, the Council of Sripatum University has unanimously resolved to grant an Honorary Doctorate of Science in Mechanical Engineering to Mr. Kecha Thirakomen for his continued honor.

Mr. Kecha Thirakomen did not hold the position of Chairman of the Executive Board of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and/or was not involved in any way with N.C.C. Management and Development Co., Ltd., which manages and operates the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The aforementioned inaccurate message was due to a misunderstanding of the information and was not intended to post untrue information to the public to cause misunderstanding in any way.”
