Modern automotive engineers will study calculation, design, production control, research, analysis, testing, and modification of vehicles. They will also be able to direct the use of systems and equipment related to power engines, heat transfer devices, pressure gas containers, air conditioning systems, and vehicle convenience devices to produce engineers with knowledge and wisdom who can effectively pursue careers in automotive engineering. The study will focus on both theory and practice to provide graduates with knowledge leading to correct analysis and research of engineering problems.

Philosophy of the curriculum

Automotive Engineering is a field of study that aims to provide graduates with knowledge and skills in engineering technology in the field of automotive engineering and the mechanisms of automotive parts, the use of fuel and energy to maximize the benefits of efficient industrial production and human quality of life. The main duties of automotive engineers are related to calculation, design, production control, research, analysis, testing, and modification of vehicles. They can also facilitate the use of systems and equipment related to power engines, heat transfer devices, pressure gas containers, air conditioning systems, and convenience devices in vehicles.

The Automotive Engineering program aims to produce engineers with knowledge and wisdom who can effectively pursue a career in automotive engineering. The study will focus on both theory and practice so that graduates will have knowledge leading to correct analysis and research of engineering problems, concepts, principles, and application of various techniques that will be used to solve problems effectively, use resources efficiently, and have the least impact on the environment. In addition to academic and professional knowledge, all graduates will also be trained to have morality, ethics, honesty, perseverance, and good human relations as a foundation for their careers.

Education system and measurement
The dual education system is used, whereby one academic year is divided into two regular semesters. Each regular semester has a study period of not less than 15 weeks, and there may be a summer semester with the total study hours for each subject equivalent to the regular semester hours. This is in accordance with the regulations of Sripathum University on undergraduate studies.
