To maintain Thailand’s agricultural security in the era of Digital Disruption
Today’s world is full of changes, bringing challenges and struggles to keep yourself employed and survive. Many organizations and industries have to adapt to the volatile and uncertain economic era. Therefore, preparing, adapting, and accepting changes, providing yourself with skills and knowledge that are updated all the time to support new forms of work, such as Upskill and Reskill, is very important and is the key that allows us to survive in the Digital Disruption era from now on.
For example, the Smart Agriculture Expert Course with Robotic System and Automatic Control is another academic service to the public that the Faculty of Engineering, Sripatum University has organized to respond to the government policy of Thailand 4.0, especially the agricultural industry sector, which is considered another major source of income for the country.
By developing knowledge about modern agriculture that combines agricultural wisdom with sensor technology and automatic control (Full Automation), this is a course that will provide both detailed agricultural knowledge and robot control knowledge, including inspection and correction of the entire control system. It can be used to create or develop robots and systems into new innovations for the agricultural industry and biotechnology. Importantly, it is a knowledge dissemination without charging any fees. In the past, there have been more than 56 participants in the project and more than 15 Smart Farm Projects have been implemented in concrete form in each establishment.
This is another great project from the Faculty of Engineering, supported by Sripatum University, to develop new knowledge in smart agriculture, which is an important skill that human resources in the agricultural sector must quickly adapt to in order to keep up with the changes that will allow Thailand to remain a global agricultural superpower in the future.
