The Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Sripatum University, organized the “Welcoming Freshmen, Sending Seniors” project for part-time students at The Pine Resort, Pathum Thani Province and the Nonthaburi Disabled Protection and Development Center, Nonthaburi Province.
Studying is difficult, requires dedication, and can lead to discouragement. However, if there is a strong network of students and alumni, it is a channel for encouragement, suggestions for both studies and work, as well as creating pride in the word “Sripathum Civil Engineering”. When students receive positive energy, they will have the strength to continue their studies until graduation and not decide to drop out prematurely.
The welcoming and sending off project has activities that develop both hard and soft skills and activities that create positive feelings towards learning, such as:
- Ice breaking and social activities to build camaraderie
- Volunteer activities to create good feelings from giving
- Seminar on Mega project management by external speakers, Mr. Pisetsut Kachensuraphan, Deputy Project Manager, MAA Consultants Co., Ltd. and Mr. Prapathapong Thongson, Deputy Director of Project Development, National Housing Authority and internal speakers, Asst. Prof. Dr. Paichit Phawan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Warisara Lertpaitoonphan and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chitsanu Amprai
- Bai Sri activity, tying the wrists of students by teachers to create bonds and give blessings to seniors who are about to graduate.
The atmosphere of the 2-day, 1-night event was filled with happiness, knowledge, and fun. It was full of all the good flavors. You can see them in the pictures.
