Be Practical
Be Realistic
Be Significant
Emphasize the important things in practical theory.
Many people are probably familiar with the slogan of our Faculty of Engineering, Sripatum University. Some of you may be wondering what Simply Significant is, which is the core of the faculty’s work. Today, we will give an example of a teaching approach that emphasizes practice and learning from real experiences to help you understand our Simply Significant concept.
Simply Significant is actually learning that is simple but contains important things or the heart of that thing, like studying engineering, where we believe that practice and doing is the key to creating learning skills that can be used to the highest benefit. At the Faculty of Engineering, we have designed the curriculum to have 5 types of practical subject groups so that students can be fully satisfied with learning and doing.
Do it yourself, which
includes all 5 subject groups:
-
Computer Lab., which is considered the heart of working in the digital age.
-
Specialized tools and equipment operations (Hardware Lab.) to provide knowledge and in-depth understanding of tools and equipment specific to the engineering profession.
-
In-class Workshop to practice, trial and error, and apply experiences from success and failure to develop skills and expertise.
-
Field Trip & Seminar is a preparation to build confidence and enhance your personality to be ready to enter the market with professionalism.
-
Project Study to allow students to research and study what they are interested in and use their self-learning experiences as a model for future self-study.
