Faculty of Business Administration, Sripatum University, creates a shared ideological alliance, a student leadership development project to instill a sense of social responsibility, to be a good person with morality and ethics.

Dr. Natthaya Triphala, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Business Administration, Sripatum University, said that the Faculty of Business Administration, Sripatum University, has created a shared ideology to instill a sense of social responsibility. Student development requires an emphasis on balanced development between intellectual skills and social skills. Therefore, student development activities focus on enhancing and developing students to be both good and good, open to learning new things, have teamwork skills, know how to forgive and prioritize the collective benefit over personal benefits. Because in today’s working world, long-term success does not come from seeking profit or only considering what one will receive. Knowing how to share to help or give back to society and the community will be a factor supporting sustainable growth and development.

The Faculty of Business Administration therefore organized the “17th Student Leadership Development Project” for 3 days at the learning and accommodation center, Wing 5, Ao Manao, Mueang District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, with like-minded partners from the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Accountancy joining the project. In addition to organizing activities to develop leadership skills and teamwork, the project also aims to allow student leaders from different faculties to learn in the footsteps of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great about the philosophy of sufficiency economy by visiting the Chang Hua Man project under the royal initiative, and to do good for society by building a sense of social responsibility among students through the volunteer activity “Sharing Smiles” at the Prachuap Khiri Khan Homeless Shelter, where most of the members are homeless and some are socially disadvantaged. The students organized the “Sharing Smiles” recreational activity, which received great interest and participation from the seniors staying at the shelter. The smiles, laughter, and calls from the seniors made the students say in unison that they felt good about doing activities that help society.

Dr. Natthaya Triphala added that as the person responsible for the project, she felt that creating awareness of social responsibility is something that takes time to gradually cultivate the seedlings of ethics in the minds of students because in the future, these students will become an important force in developing the country. Creating seedlings of ethics through this social responsibility activity is a good starting point for creating good people alongside being smart people because when there is “good + smart”, it will lead to creating things that are beneficial to society and the country, taking into account the common good as the foundation.
