The most popular advertising method for promoting websites is probably advertising on Google search based on the desired search terms. Website promotion can be done in 2 ways: SEO (Search Engine Optimization – free) and PPC (Pay Per Click or Adwords – there is a charge per click on a link).

Now we will talk about the principles of advertising with Google Adwords, which is advertising on Google Search websites. The details are as follows:

1. Advertising in the form of keyword bidding, by specifying how much you will pay for each click (view) of a product or website you advertise. Google will then compare the information with other competitors in the same search to see who offers more. If there is no text, your ad will be ranked number 1 on the Google Search page, and those who offer lower ad rates will have their content displayed after your text in order of the value they pay to Google.

2. Advertising can set an advertising budget per day, for example, set a budget of 1,000 baht, the advertisement will be displayed under 1,000 baht and will gradually decrease. When there are many clicks that day, the advertisement will stop running that day and can start advertising again the next day.

3. You can choose the advertising display area, such as specifying that only Bangkok and its vicinity can see the advertisement, in order to save advertising budget for a limited group of people who may not be the target customer group.

4. You can choose the day and time for the advertisement to be displayed, but businesses need to analyze the target customer group to see how they use Google, for example, the customer group is a business or general organization. They can set the time to be displayed at work hours, such as Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and products that are suitable for working age people can set the time after work from 6:00 p.m. to midnight to make advertising on Google most effective.

5. Research and Negative Keywords Businesses must analyze the keywords they purchase from Google for advertising. However, businesses must monitor the results of their advertising by eliminating words that are searched but not relevant to the business’s products or services. When there are new searches, no more ads will appear, so the budget is not wasted.

6. Call extensions: Binding the store’s phone number to the message. When there is a search set, it will be displayed on Google along with the phone number. If the customer searches via Google Desktop, the phone number will be found. But if the customer searches via mobile, it will be displayed as a Call button. When the customer presses the Call button, they can call the store, increasing the convenience of purchasing with customers.
