Alumni, Bachelor of Accountancy Program, Faculty of Accountancy, Sripathum University

Hello, I am Mr. Nattawut Pliengtuk, an alumnus of the Bachelor of Accountancy program, majoring in Accounting, Faculty of Accountancy, Sripatum University. I started my studies in 1996 and graduated in 1998. I continued my studies at the master’s degree level. After graduation, I had the opportunity to join the examination, Part A, and was accepted into the civil service in 2002 as an internal auditor, level 4. This position is responsible for supporting the organization’s operations, reviewing finances and accounting, monitoring performance, operations, managing internal control systems, managing risks, and supervising the operations of the audited units, which are related to the knowledge I have studied. It also supports the operations of government agencies to drive them forward efficiently. I have gained experience working in the public sector in internal auditing missions until 2015 when I had the opportunity to change my position to a specialist policy and plan analyst. I am responsible for preparing land management policies and plans, which is a great challenge for my planning methods because land and soil resource management in the country is an important matter. Since land is a limited resource or asset, it is an important step in my work. It is an important mission to determine how to set policies to push for appropriate management of these limited resources, both in terms of conservation and land utilization.

At present, I am an assistant director of the Office of the National Land Policy Committee, Office of the Prime Minister. As an assistant director, I have important duties to monitor the missions of the agency to be carried out efficiently, including supervising, supervising and following up on the implementation of the policies of the assigned internal agencies, and acting as an assistant coordinator for the Cabinet and Parliament of the office. In particular, the mission is to drive the implementation of important government policies in the project of land allocation for communities, which aims to solve the problems of the people by setting a policy for distributing land ownership fairly to the people, which will lead to reducing the inequality in land ownership and utilization of people’s land in society.

What would you like to recommend to students who are about to enter or are currently studying?

Ultimately, I think that in the future, no matter what career path you have, in what position, whether it is in the private sector, government, or other fields, please choose to study what you like, what you are interested in, and collect what you gain, practice in the classroom or at university activities, in order to apply the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained from studying here to further your career and real life.
