Hello, Captain Phasnathi Numprasert, position: Financial Officer, Infantry Battalion, 11th Infantry Division, alumni of the Faculty of Accountancy, came to study for a Master’s degree in Accountancy. While studying, I met people from many different professions, had friends and teachers who took care of me until I graduated. I gained experience from studying and applied it to my work, and it has helped me develop my work very well.
Accounting is a major where most students are female. In one class, there probably aren’t many male students. But what many people don’t know is that male accounting graduates who are interested in joining the military will have a much higher chance of joining the military than other majors. Because of the information above, which shows that there are fewer male students graduating in this major, there are fewer competitors. It is also a military major that is in high demand for personnel in the army. Moreover, when joining the military, if you are still a non-commissioned officer (Sergeant), you still have a high chance of being promoted to a commissioned officer (Lieutenant). This is because the armed forces do not produce cadets in the finance corps. That is, cadets in the finance corps must come from sergeants or civilians who graduated in accounting. And all commissioned officers (Lieutenants) in the finance corps must also graduate in accounting. Furthermore, the competitive examination for entering the military clearly separates the recruitment and positions of males and females. Therefore, male students do not have to compete with female students in entering the military.
Therefore, coming to study in the accounting profession at Sripathum University is an experience that is more than just accounting, more than being a civil servant, and the result of our determination has made us successful.
