SPU Joins Forces with TO BE NUMBER ONE to Tackle Drug Issues through Community-Centered Solutions
On April 9, 2025, Sripatum University (SPU) took a leading role in a landmark meeting of the TO BE NUMBER ONE network at the Vibhavadi Meeting Room, 9th Floor, Chatuchak District Office, Bangkok. The event brought together key stakeholders—academic institutions, police units, local governments, and community leaders—for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing aimed at preventing drug abuse among youth through collaborative, area-based solutions.
The initiative highlighted SPU’s proactive mission in SDG 16.2.3 by establishing participatory mechanisms where police departments, health agencies, and educational institutions co-developed tailored prevention strategies for local contexts. These efforts are anchored in the spirit of SDG 17.2.1, fostering robust multi-sector partnerships for sustainable development. SPU serves as the core university driving anti-drug campaigns across the upper central higher education network, exemplifying SDG 17’s commitment to coordinated SDG policy and practice.
Additionally, the program supports mental and physical well-being (SDG 3.3.2) by offering community-centered health education and outreach, while also aligning with SDG 10.6.6 through peer mentoring systems that empower vulnerable youth. SPU’s off-campus engagement efforts mirror the goals of SDG 4.3.4, enriching informal learning and protection frameworks for students in nearby communities.
By facilitating dialogue and co-decision-making with local actors, including district and municipal agencies (SDG 11.4.7), the initiative strengthens inclusive urban planning for safer, drug-free neighborhoods. The comprehensive approach to youth empowerment also addresses the needs of low-income students (SDG 1.3.3), promoting resilience through knowledge and community involvement.
SPU’s continued leadership in this campaign reflects its dedication to sustainable peace, justice, and community wellness, underscoring the university’s national role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SPU ผนึกพลังเครือข่าย TO BE NUMBER ONE เดินหน้าป้องกันยาเสพติดด้วยพลังความร่วมมือจากชุมชน
เมื่อวันที่ 9 เมษายน 2568 ณ ห้องประชุมวิภาวดี ชั้น 9 สำนักงานเขตจตุจักร กรุงเทพมหานคร มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) ได้ร่วมประชุมคณะกรรมการเครือข่าย TO BE NUMBER ONE พร้อมลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) กับภาคีหลากหลายภาคส่วน ทั้งสถาบันการศึกษา หน่วยงานรัฐ ท้องถิ่น และชุมชน เพื่อร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหายาเสพติดในเยาวชนในระดับพื้นที่
การดำเนินงานในครั้งนี้สอดคล้องกับ SDG 16.2.3 โดยการสร้างกลไกการมีส่วนร่วมของภาคีภายนอกอย่างรอบด้าน อาทิ สถานีตำรวจ สำนักงานสาธารณสุข และสถาบันการศึกษา ที่ร่วมกันกำหนดแนวทางป้องกันที่เหมาะสมกับบริบทของพื้นที่ สะท้อนเจตนารมณ์ของ SDG 17.2.1 ในการสร้างความร่วมมือแบบพหุภาคีที่มั่นคงและยั่งยืน
นอกจากนี้ โครงการยังส่งเสริมสุขภาวะในระดับชุมชน (SDG 3.3.2) ผ่านการรณรงค์และให้ความรู้เรื่องสุขภาพ รวมถึงมีการจัดระบบพี่เลี้ยงเพื่อเสริมพลังให้กับเยาวชนกลุ่มเปราะบาง (SDG 10.6.6) โดยมี SPU เป็นกลไกกลางในการขยายพื้นที่การเรียนรู้นอกห้องเรียนตามเป้าหมาย SDG 4.3.4
การประสานงานร่วมกับหน่วยงานท้องถิ่นและภาครัฐในพื้นที่ (SDG 11.4.7) ช่วยยกระดับการออกแบบชุมชนที่ปลอดภัยอย่างมีส่วนร่วม พร้อมทั้งตอบโจทย์การสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันให้กับนักเรียนและนักศึกษาที่อยู่ในกลุ่มรายได้น้อย (SDG 1.3.3) ผ่านกิจกรรมที่หลากหลายและต่อเนื่อง บทบาทเชิงรุกของมหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมในการเป็นศูนย์กลางเครือข่ายนี้สะท้อนความมุ่งมั่นในการสร้างสังคมแห่งความยุติธรรมและสันติสุข ตามแนวทางการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของ SDGs ทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่นและระดับชาติ
