Good research practices

Good research practices focus on high-quality research that creates positive impacts on academics, society, and the economy, such as:

1. Set clear goals and objectives.

– Define a clear and significant research problem to ensure that the research is credible and can produce valuable results.

– Plan and design research with clear objectives and develop appropriate research questions.

2. Comply with research ethics principles.

– Strictly adhere to ethical principles.

– Respect the privacy rights and personal information of research participants.

3. Choose appropriate research methods.

– Select methods and techniques appropriate to the type of research, such as qualitative or quantitative research or survey research.

– Use modern tools and analysis to ensure accurate and reliable results.

4. Transparency and management of research data

– Data is systematically recorded so that it can be checked and repeated.

– Disclose relevant information so that other researchers can use the information or test further hypotheses.

– Prevent data falsification, distortion of research results, or misleading presentation of data.

5. Create research collaboration and networks

– Promote collaborative research between researchers both inside and outside the institution.

– Creating academic networks and participating in academic conferences to exchange knowledge and experiences.

6. Dissemination of quality research results

– Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals or at academic conferences to gain acceptance in academic circles.

7. Use research resources effectively.

– Plan the use of resources such as budget, equipment and time effectively and carefully to ensure that the research proceeds smoothly and with maximum efficiency.

– Promote the use of modern technology and research tools to collect and analyze data.

8. Promote the application of research results.

– Promote research that can be applied in the industrial or government sectors to solve problems or develop innovations that benefit society and the economy.

– There is a plan to expand or transfer knowledge from research to users or the public.

9. Support the development of new generation researchers.

– Promote the development of skills and knowledge of new researchers through training, mentoring and providing opportunities to conduct research with experienced researchers.

– Create a working environment that supports learning and self-development of new researchers.

10. Evaluate and develop research continuously.

– There is continuous evaluation of research to improve the quality and research process.

– Promote researchers to use the evaluation results to improve research designs and develop research skills in the future.

Research funding application process within the university

In terms of internal university processes for starting research for funding requests, in the case of requesting external research funding, the agency directly responsible for this matter is the Research Promotion and Development Center. When those interested in conducting research receive research funding from an external agency, they must first request approval to conduct research through this center. The steps for requesting approval are as follows:

Application – There are 1 professor who participated in the project and received a joint research grant, namely Assistant Professor Jiamjit Suwannoi and Professor Pimchanok Chanwichit.
