Hello, my name is Wipada Trinikom, but you can call me Som. I graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting. I am currently working at Dao Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Investment Advisory Department, as VP (Vice President).
DAOL SEC is a comprehensive securities company, well-known in the financial investment circle, which has been in the securities brokerage business for over 20 years and has continuously expanded its business under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bank of Thailand (BOT), providing securities brokerage services covering stocks, debt instruments, equity instruments, semi-derivative instruments, investment banking, financial planning, wealth management, and private fund management, both domestic and foreign assets, to general investors, large investors, and institutional investors. It can be said that “it is complete in both finance and investment.”
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (B.Acc.) from Sripatum University, I worked with Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited for about 5 years and then joined Kiatnakin Bank Public Company Limited for 1 year. During my employment, I pursued a “master’s degree” in Accountancy and completed a Master of Accountancy in 2011. I then worked at Kasikornbank Public Company Limited, The Wisdom Wealth Management Department, for another 9 years. I currently work at DAOL SEC. For all the financial institution jobs that I have worked for, I used my knowledge from Sripatum University. Importantly, various financial institutions highly recognize the knowledge and capabilities of students who graduate from the Faculty of Accountancy. This gave me the opportunity to work with a reputable bank and securities company. In addition to the knowledge I received from lecturers at the university, I have to continuously develop myself because working in a financial institution is supervised by a government agency. In order to be able to take care of clients professionally, we must have relevant licenses, such as a life insurance license, Investment Consultant (IC License), Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Therefore, learning must be done consistently because it is an important quality for employees in this profession.
I would like to encourage all of you that the Faculty of Accountancy, Sripatum University, will definitely create opportunities, knowledge, and a future for all of you. I wish you all success in your academic and working lives, and let’s help create a reputation for the Faculty of Accountancy, Sripatum University together.
