สำนักหอสมุด มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม ตอกย้ำบทบาทผู้นำด้านการศึกษาเพื่อความยั่งยืน เปิดคลังความรู้ขนาดใหญ่ให้ประชาชนเข้าถึงได้โดยเสรี ผ่านระบบออนไลน์ สนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตอย่างทั่วถึง โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย และไม่จำกัดสถานะหรือฐานะทางสังคม
ด้วยแนวคิด “ความรู้เพื่อทุกคน” SPU พัฒนา SPU-IR (Sripatum University Institutional Repository) คลังข้อมูลดิจิทัลที่รวบรวมผลงานทางวิชาการของคณาจารย์ นักศึกษา และนักวิจัย อาทิ วิทยานิพนธ์ บทความ ตำราและเอกสารการสอน ให้เข้าถึงได้ฟรีที่ https://dspace.spu.ac.th ร่วมด้วย e-Resources (https://www.spu.ac.th/department/library/e-resources) และ Institutional Repository (https://www.spu.ac.th/department/library/institutional-repository) ที่เปิดให้เข้าถึงจากทุกที่ ทุกเวลา ไม่จำกัดเฉพาะบุคลากรภายใน โดยสนับสนุนแนวคิดหลัก ในการเข้าถึงทรัพยากรห้องสมุด (Library-information access), ส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ (Promote-learning), กระจายความรู้สู่ชุมชน (Knowledge-sharing) และการเสริมโอกาสทางการศึกษา (Enhance-education)
การดำเนินงานดังกล่าวสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) หลายด้าน โดยเฉพาะการส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต เพื่อเปิดให้ประชาชนทั่วไปใช้บริการห้องสมุด ส่งเสริมความเท่าเทียมด้านการศึกษา และเสริมศักยภาพสตรีผ่านโอกาสในการเข้าถึงความรู้ ทั้งยังครอบคลุมการลดความเหลื่อมล้ำด้านข้อมูล และส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้เรื่อง SDGs แก่ชุมชนอีกด้วย
ความมุ่งมั่นของ SPU ในการเปิดเผยข้อมูลวิชาการ และส่งเสริมความโปร่งใสของนโยบาย แสดงให้เห็นถึงวิสัยทัศน์ระดับโลกที่มุ่งสู่การศึกษาที่ยั่งยืนและเสมอภาค
จากวันนี้ ห้องสมุด SPU ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงแหล่งความรู้ของนักศึกษาเท่านั้น แต่คือขุมทรัพย์แห่งการเรียนรู้ของประเทศ
Sripatum University Library Redefines Learning: Expanding Knowledge Access to the Public
The Sripatum University Library reaffirms its leadership in sustainable education by transforming its extensive academic resources into a publicly accessible knowledge platform. Through digital access, the library fosters inclusive lifelong learning for all—free of charge and without limitations based on status or background.
Guided by the principle of “Knowledge for Everyone,” SPU has developed the SPU-IR (Sripatum University Institutional Repository)—a digital repository containing academic works by faculty, students, and researchers, including theses, research papers, textbooks, and teaching materials. These resources are freely accessible at https://dspace.spu.ac.th. Additionally, SPU provides open access to its e-Resources (https://www.spu.ac.th/department/library/e-resources) and Institutional Repository systems (https://www.spu.ac.th/department/library/institutional-repository) from anywhere, at any time, extending beyond the university community. This initiative promotes four core concepts: Library-information access, Promoting Learning, Knowledge Sharing, and Enhancing Education.
This endeavor aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in supporting lifelong learning, ensuring public access to library services, enhancing educational equity, and empowering women through greater access to knowledge. It also contributes to reducing information disparity and advancing community awareness of the SDGs.
SPU’s strong commitment to academic transparency and open-access policies reflects a global vision toward inclusive and sustainable education.
From this day forward, the SPU Library is not only a learning space for students—it stands as a national treasure of knowledge for all.
