The main professional work of mechanical engineering students is related to calculation, design, production control, research, analysis, testing, planning, supervising the installation and supervising the use of systems and equipment, namely, power plants, power appliances, heat transfer equipment, steam or other vapor generators, furnaces, gas containers under pressure, air conditioners, refrigeration machines and piping systems for transferring pressured fluids and hazardous fluids, etc.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been teaching since 1990 or 3 years after Sripathum College was upgraded to Sripathum University. The curriculum of the Department has passed the standard certification from the Office of the National Higher Education Commission (OHEC), the Civil Service Commission (OCSC), and the Council of Engineers (C.E.). Students who have graduated can apply for a license to practice controlled engineering according to the regulations of the Council of Engineers.

The Mechanical Engineering program is a branch of study that studies the design of various types of machinery, the production and utilization of heat and mechanical energy to the greatest benefit.
