“Smart Building Energy Saving with Automative Fault Detection Diagnostics (AFDD) System by Asst. Prof. Dr. Denchai Woradechcharoen”
Problems in designing and operating smart building systems in Thailand, which are still not fully efficient, result in buildings’ energy savings not being as estimated, especially in air conditioning systems, which have a high proportion of energy usage in large buildings.
The Automatic Fault Detection Diagnostic system has been researched and developed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Denchai Woradechjareon, a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Sripatum University, to integrate with existing smart building systems or newly installed systems in order to automatically record and process data and recommend control commands, instead of analyzing and controlling the system by building technicians or engineers, which often cause errors due to various and complex factors.
Research has been developed from the cooperation of business establishments and the industrial sector, resulting in the collection and analysis of data from real locations, resulting in the development of innovations that meet the needs of real users, as well as receiving awards from the Ministry of Energy and initial funding that allows for business expansion, with income circulating from academic work to full-fledged innovation.
