Principles and reasons The application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications is a very important matter at present, both in education and research in universities and in the industrial sector. Because microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications can process for thinking and making decisions in various processes, including communicating various data, such as controlling the operation of various devices, using them to control, display results, using them for measurement and control, using them as the heart of robot movement, using them in embedded systems and many other areas. Therefore, the study and research of the application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications is an important matter to continuously develop new knowledge for teachers and students. Microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications have been taught in the Electrical Engineering Department in both theoretical and practical subjects for all students. However, there is still a lack of practical application and research for students who are interested in this field in particular. Objectives

  1. To unite researchers interested in the study and application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications.
  2. To develop the application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications in various fields such as control, measurement, robotics, etc.
  3. To produce experts in microcontroller, electronics and telecommunications applications.
  4. To provide opportunities for engineering students in their 2nd – 4th year to demonstrate their abilities and creativity by becoming research assistants or participating in experiments in the application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications.
  5. To be a group of experts who disseminate knowledge and organize training in the application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications.
  6. To issue certificates to students who participate in the experiment and pass the knowledge test at various levels, such as beginner, intermediate, or advanced, etc.
  7. To serve as a consultant for final year students doing electrical engineering projects related to microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications.

target

It is a group of researchers with lecturers, laboratory staff and students to study and research the application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications. To create experts in the use of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications. To disseminate knowledge. To organize training. To be a consultant for students doing electrical engineering projects. It is a group that has places, tools and equipment to study and research. To conduct knowledge tests to issue certificates of competence in the use of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications at various levels. (This topic may be used in cases where the project examiner sees that the project proposed by the student is related to microcontrollers and electronics. Therefore, the students who will do this project must pass the knowledge test in the application of microcontrollers, electronics and telecommunications at a level appropriate to the level required in the project.) Project participants Lecturers from the Department of Electrical Engineering or other related fields Laboratory staff 2nd-4th year students

Tools and equipment

Some of the initial tools and equipment were supported by the Electrical Engineering Department to use the tools available in the laboratories. In the future, when there is a training to disseminate knowledge or other income comes in, it will be used to support additional tools and equipment. Achievements – Organized the Sripathum Smart Tiny-Car Rally between February and May 2009 (no topic) – “Automatic Aluminum Can Opener Crusher and Sorter” won the 3rd runner-up award from the “2008 New Generation Inventor Award” category, vocational and higher education level, Category 1, Environmental Protection Equipment and Renewable Energy from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) at the National Inventor’s Day at Hall 9, Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, between February 2-5, 2009.
