In this era of globalization where international competition is becoming more and more intense, in addition to using military and economic force, countries have also turned to focus on “soft power” to create a good image and gain international acceptance. One of the important elements of soft power is culture.
Thailand is a country with valuable culture, especially Thai fabrics, which are a cultural heritage that reflects the delicacy, uniqueness, and creativity of Thai people. This article will present Thailand’s soft power through the perspective of Thai fabrics.
Thai fabric: a priceless cultural heritage

For example, the Isan silk fabric has intricate patterns resulting from the wisdom of weaving colorful silk threads into various patterns. The northern silk fabric has intricate patterns resulting from the use of the raised-pattern technique. The southern cotton fabric has simple patterns that are delicate.
