1.) During the 2 years of studying tourism, what did you gain from studying here?
– Studying at Sripatum University is a new learning experience for me because studying here is a practical learning. For example, in the domestic tourism subject, there will be a tour simulation for all students to participate in the simulated tour and get to try it out for themselves, contact, coordinate, and go to the field to survey the actual route, which is a very good thing because learning in the classroom is very different from learning outside the classroom. And the international tourism subject also has hands-on experience, so I know that this university really cares about students’ off-site learning.
2.) How does the tourism industry help you fulfill your dreams?
– Tourism has fulfilled my dream a lot. Because when I chose to study this major, I didn’t know what tourism was. But when I got to study, this major made me dream of becoming a tour guide. From a kid who never wanted to study history, I turned to love this subject. I wanted to learn and listen to history. And I saw the perspective of a tourist kid. For example, when we go to a temple, we will see things that tourists don’t see. Normal people tend to see pagodas as just beautiful buildings. But a tourist kid must know about the components, history, construction, and what shape the pagoda is. Including this major, I have a job in tourism, which I love. And I can apply what Professor Panat taught me to my real job. It’s simple. Alphabet Code makes me feel proud when I actually use it. And finally, the person who fulfilled my dream the most is the teacher. Professor Panat is the person who pushed me to have the motivation to want to work in tourism.
3.) What impressed you about Sripathum’s tourism course?
– The most impressive thing about the tourism program at Sripatum University is learning outside the classroom. Because learning outside the classroom allows us to see the overall picture of real work, whether it’s doing a simulated tour or going on field trips outside the classroom often. Because for me, seeing something wider than a book is a really great experience for a student. Including having an outside speaker come to teach by bringing the experience of that speaker to tell the students. It’s like persuading or creating more inspiration for us.
4.) If you want to be as successful as you, how should you prepare for those interested in the tourism industry?
– If you want to be successful, the first thing for me is love and understanding. Because when we love, understand or like what we are studying, it is the main factor that makes us want to study that thing more. And the most important thing is not to look down on yourself that you are not good at studying or compare yourself with others who are better than you. But you should look at people who are better than you as inspiration rather than using it as your own pressure. For me, I like almost everything about traveling because I think it is not boring. If we do a tour, we get to go to different places with our tourists and see new places. Or if we work in an office, we get to communicate with tourism businesses such as accommodations, restaurants, and tourist attractions to impress our tourists with what they want.
