Open the world of service industry Hotel Business Management and Risk Management in Hotel Business

College of Tourism and Hospitality, Department of Hotel and MICE Management, Sripatum University, organized the project “Opening the World of Service Industry” which is part of the course HTE13167 Business Management and Risk Management in Hotel Business. Asst. Prof. Sirichantra Thongjeen, Head of the Department of Hotel and MICE Management and Asst. Prof. Tueanjai Srichata, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, led a group of 163 students on a study visit to TK Palace & Convention Hotel, Chaeng Watthana area, Bangkok on December 4, 2024.

This study tour opened new perspectives on the hotel business, which is an important part of the service industry that plays a role in both national and international economies. Hotels are not only places for tourists to relax, but also a center for international conferences, seminars and events. This activity gave students the opportunity to learn about operational structures such as customer service, room management, food and beverage management, as well as risk management approaches in the business.

In addition to learning about the hotel business, students also get to experience working in MICE and conferences up close, interacting with experienced executives and staff, which helps them gain knowledge and skills necessary for their future careers.

The program aims to provide students with real-world experiences, inspiration and an understanding of the importance of the hospitality industry in a diverse context, while preparing them to confidently enter a highly competitive career field.

The organization of this activity reflects the College of Tourism and Hospitality’s intention to develop students with knowledge, skills and experience to be ready to enter the service industry labor market to their full potential.
