Leading first-year students of the College of Tourism and Hospitality in all 4 majors to experience a real working atmosphere with real personnel in the service industry by doing a Fine Dining Etiquette Workshop (Table Manner & Etiquette), a Cocktail Workshop, and a Standard Bed Making Workshop in the guest rooms of Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel.
The perfect fine dining experience. In addition to delicious food, table manners are equally important.
Come learn basic etiquette tips to make a good impression and show your attention to detail.
1. Dressing
You should dress politely and appropriately for the location. Usually, you will wear a suit or a long dress.
2. Use of silverware
Each piece of silverware has a specific function. They should be used in order from the outside to the inside, starting with the silverware furthest from the plate.
3. Sitting
Sit up straight, do not bend or lean over, and place your arms politely on the table.
4. Ordering food
You should choose food according to your preferences and budget. Avoid ordering more food than necessary.
5. Eating
Eat slowly, chew slowly, use utensils correctly, and avoid making loud noises.
6. Conversation
Speak politely, do not laugh loudly, and avoid using your hands.
7. Drinking wine
Drink wine in moderation. Don’t drink too much.
8. Payment
Have cash or a credit card ready. A 10-15% tip is considered good manners.
9. Gratitude
Thank you to the staff and the owner before leaving the shop.
