Open the path of "Coach Pee Kratae", the real expert in airlines at SPU
“Teacher Kratai” Patchariya Wiphaserani
Lecturer in Aviation Business
College of Tourism and Hospitality, SPU
Hello, Patchariya Wiphaserani, or as the kids like to call her, Ajarn Kratae. After graduating, I started working as a ground service staff at Don Mueang Airport. Then, Suvarnabhumi Airport officially opened for service. I moved to Bangkok Airways in the reservation and ticketing department. With almost 15 years of experience in the aviation industry, I have been responsible for integrating communication and cooperation with all sectors across departments, both in my parent airline and other airlines in the airport. This has allowed me to understand all sectors of the work because we have to coordinate with all departments, whether it be the nature of the work, the needs of the airline, or the organizational culture. Since I grew up working directly in the airline industry, I have friends and seniors in the same line of work in almost every airline who have helped and supported me in every aspect. This has been a good connection until today.

Real person in the field to become a teacher at SPU
The turning point from airline work to teaching was when we had enough work experience and progressed in our careers, we started to want the new generation of children to have good opportunities in life by working in this field. Therefore, we wanted to use our knowledge to pass on to the younger generation because we know that airlines really need new generations with specific characteristics. From our experience over the past 15 years, we have summarized it into a manual that the children can use to further their lives.
Tourism and service sector Coming back BOOM again
Although the COVID-19 situation continues, the global tourism industry is still moving amidst the crisis and preparing plans to cope after the COVID-19 crisis is resolved under the belief that tourism will boom again quickly. If you follow the latest news this month, you will see that in November, there were a lot of international passengers traveling to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thailand is charming, colorful, and ready to welcome both domestic and international tourists back. This is a guarantee that in the long run, the service industry will definitely still be in demand in the labor market.
#Tourist Dek can work in various service fields.
The advantage of studying tourism and service is the use of language, management, and readiness to work in service, allowing for a variety of careers. As for me, I used the knowledge I learned in this field to open a tour company, do hotel and restaurant business in Mexico.

By integrating knowledge from studying tourism and service, and using the principles of GASTRONOMIC TOURISM more clearly in Thailand, the overall picture or landscape of tourism and service will change dramatically. Integrating work across disciplines will be very common. The children of this college are considered lucky because they have received a direct foundation in tourism and service, which will give them many options for work.
New career, high income Must be a SPU Cruise Business Management Program
This career path is suitable for the new generation who want to advance because the organization does not look at seniority. Everything is measured by the ability to work. We can also take ourselves to the wider world in leaps and bounds. For example, cruise ships are now starting to sail again in many areas around the world. This year, it is expected that there will be up to 2,000 people hired in the Thai market because Thai people have good manners, have a polite service foundation, and have cheerful personalities. They also have good knowledge and skills that meet international standards. This is a great opportunity for the students because we have a program in cruise business management, which is the only certified program and is 100% ready to push the students to reach their goals easily.
If we only count cruise ships, it is considered a dream job for youths in many countries because they will have the opportunity to travel far around the world, gain life experiences. If they know how to save and be patient, they will be able to become financially successful quickly. They will also have unique experiences which are very useful for future advancement.
A message to all the children “Never give up on your dreams.”
The teacher believes that everyone has a dream of wanting to do the job they love. Don’t give up on your dream. Don’t rush out of your goal just because you think you’re not ready, that you can’t do it. Because at the College of Tourism and Hospitality, there are excellent coaches in many areas that will make us learn how to develop ourselves to be what the organization wants. Don’t just believe what the teacher says. You have to come and learn for yourself. Let’s be a warm college family. The future of dreams is waiting for everyone to travel together and reach it.
