SPULA TRAVEL, a simulated tour company, takes students on an overseas study tour on the Malaysia-Singapore route.

Led by Assistant Dean Rani Amornrat, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Acting Head of the Tourism Management Program, College of Tourism and Hospitality, along with Dr. Thawit Thanonjit, Assistant Professor Priyaporn Herrington, and Assistant Professor Paweeda Samanakhetkorn, lecturers of the Tourism Management Program, Sripatum University, by organizing a simulated tour company, SPULA TRAVEL, to take students on an overseas study trip on the Malaysia-Singapore route during 22-25 July 2016 (3 nights, 4 days) to allow students to gain knowledge and experience from real tourist attractions abroad and to learn the holistic steps of organizing an overseas tour, starting from contacting ground companies, contacting tourism-related businesses, writing a tour itinerary, to cover the teaching and learning in the TMT335 International Tourism Management course according to the curriculum, starting from studying the international tourism situation, organizing a tour itinerary, sales and marketing strategies, preparing before traveling, important documents for traveling, procedures for entering and exiting the country, contacting and coordinating with tourism product and service businesses abroad, international tourism laws, providing safety to tourists, and solving immediate problems during the tour. It is an increase in knowledge, skills, and experience from visiting and practicing in real places, including seeing professional local tour guide models and working with ground companies in that country, which is beneficial for future careers in tourism.
