Volunteers plant mangroves in Bang Pu

The Civil Affairs Division of the Royal Thai Army, in collaboration with Sripatum University, organized the Youth Volunteer Project “Planting Mangroves, Restoring the Forests with Royal Grace”, with Col. Sansern Kaewkamnan, Director of the Psychological Operations Division and Spokesperson of the Center for the Resolution of Emergency Situations (CRES), along with Dr. Jarunya Phukyaphon, Assistant to the President for Student Development and Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Gloria Witcharoen, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Patcharaporn Rattanavaropas of Sripatum University and founder of SRIPATUM USR, honored to preside over the opening ceremony of the volunteer project. This was to instill loyalty among students to the nation, religion, and the monarchy, and to instill volunteerism in students by planting mangroves at the Siam Borommaratchakumari Building, Sripatum University on August 20, 2010.
This project has 450 HUM 100 students from the School of General Studies, the Nature and Environment Conservation Club, and the Personality Development Club of Sripathum University participating in the project. The students will travel to join the activity at the Royal Thai Army Nature Study Center (Bang Pu), Samut Prakan Province, divided into 3 groups.
