1.) Throughout the 4 years of studying tourism, what did you gain from studying here?
If you ask what I got from studying tourism at Sripatum University, there are a lot. Both knowledge, fun, and relationships. Let me start with knowledge. The knowledge that each teacher gave in each subject is not just a normal textbook. The teachers talked about various things from their experiences. Everyone has a lot of experiences to tell and teach, which made me gain a wider and greater knowledge. It made studying uninteresting subjects or subjects that I thought were boring interesting and not boring as I thought. I also got real experience from organizing a simulated tour company. I got to do it for real, organize it for real, and had to sell for real. Hahaha
Next, in terms of fun, learning to travel is really fun. I must say it is really fun. When I was running a simulated tour company, it was fun, educational, and seriously stressful. Some trips made us cry. We invested a lot of money and effort. But when we went on the actual tour, everything went smoothly. Everyone was fun, funny, and happy.
Finally, in terms of relationships, studying in this field of tourism is like being a family. Friends are close to each other and teachers can give advice. In fact, I secretly call the teachers father or mother because I feel that all the teachers in the field of tourism are ready to give advice on almost every matter and are ready to lend a hand to help with anything. Love you!
2.) How does the tourism industry help you fulfill your dreams?
Let me tell you first that I personally like to travel quite a bit. Choosing to study tourism management was an easy decision. If you ask how it fulfills my dreams, it would be that I get to study and travel. Plus, traveling gives me knowledge and experiences that I can’t get from studying in a regular classroom because it really hurts and I really do it. Haha. If I had to choose again, I would still choose this field of study.
3.) What impressed you about Sripathum’s tourism course?
The tourism program of Sripatum University here is learning with real people, real experiences. Every course we have can be applied in real life and in studying. I can say that it is very complete. I am not disappointed with the program at all. Another thing is that this place allows students to organize trips that are better than anyone else because there are teachers with professional experience. And not only organizing tours within the country, but also organizing tours as far away as abroad. In addition, teachers and executives also help find good opportunities for students to intern with many leading companies in the country.
4.) If you want to be as successful as you, how should you, those interested in the tourism industry, prepare?
If you ask how to prepare, it’s really difficult. Haha. Actually, if you have a passion for tour guiding, traveling, and are prepared to have good experiences, meet with teachers who are knowledgeable and always ready to share their knowledge, that’s enough. The tourism department welcomes all of you.
