1.) Throughout the 4 years of studying tourism, what did you gain from studying here?
At Sripatum University, it’s like a second home. Here, we provide knowledge and experience, and most importantly, good friendships from both friends and teachers. Here, we don’t only teach in the classroom, but also take students to learn outside the classroom, learning from real experiences, such as the tourism department. Here, we take students on simulated tours, both domestically and internationally, selling real tours, not just students going, giving us experiences that we can’t get from the classroom or anywhere else.
2.) How does the tourism industry help you fulfill your dreams?
Everyone has different dreams. Some people dream of being an artist, some people dream of being a pilot, or some people dream of being a doctor. But I dream of doing a job that I love and that makes me happy, which is being an event organizer. And coming to this point makes me realize that organizing an event is not just about organizing an event that is complete with every function, but it is about organizing an event that makes the attendees happy and remember the event forever. Because the tourism department here does not only teach how to be a tour guide, but also teaches about event management, which is the subject that sparked this dream. The tourism department here makes that dream come true.
3.) What impressed you about Sripathum’s tourism course?
This course teaches everything about tourism, not just teaching us to be tour guides. Here, they teach covering subjects about hotels, aviation, or subjects about organizing events, so we feel that we have gained a lot of things. We also get to try organizing real tours both domestically and internationally. I love this place because they don’t just give knowledge in the classroom. Most importantly, the teachers really care about every student, especially Teacher Panat. Thank you very much to the teacher for taking care of me for the past 4 years. And this is what makes me proud to choose to study here, to choose this course.
4.) If you want to be as successful as you, how should you prepare for those interested in the tourism industry?
For those interested in the tourism field, please ask yourself if you love to provide service. Many people think that customers are gods, but they are not. Just think of customers as our friends, as our brothers and sisters. Sometimes they just want someone to take care of them. If you ask yourself if you really like this field, please do your best and do what you love. If you don’t do it, you will never be successful. I wish you all the best. Everyone can always be successful if they do it.
