ม.ศรีปทุม เปิดกว้างความหลากหลายทางเพศ มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม มีนโยบายการส่งเสริมการยอมรับความแตกต่างและอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างเท่าเทียม โดยไม่เลือกปฏิบัติ คำนึงถึงสิทธิมนุษยชนของคนทุกเพศทุกวัย คนทุกคนต้องได้รับศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นคนอย่างเท่าเทียมกัน ทำให้ปัจจุบันจึงมีนักศึกษาที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศเข้ามาศึกษาจำนวนมาก นอกจากนี้มหาวิทยาลัยยังจัดสิ่งแวดล้อมและกิจกรรมที่เอื้อต่อการใช้ชีวิต เช่น การจัดประกวดดาวจำแลง การเต้นโคฟเวอร์ และกิจกรรมอื่นๆ รวมทั้งการยอมรับเรื่องแต่งกายข้ามเพศ เพื่อให้นักศึกษาทุกคนมีเสรีภาพทุกตารางนิ้วในการใช้ชีวิตในศรีปทุมด้วย นายกรกวี ศุขผล นักศึกษาวิทยาลัยการท่องเที่ยวและการบริการชั้นปีที่ 3 ในฐานะผู้เข้าประกวดดาวจำแลง กล่าวว่า “การใช้ชีวิตในศรีปทุมดีมากค่ะ เพื่อนๆไม่มองเป็นตัวประหลาด ใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีความสุข สนุกมากค่ะ ได้รับการยอมรับอย่างมากโดยเฉพาะเมื่อเพื่อนและอาจารย์เห็นถึงความสามารถ ศักยภาพในหลายเรื่อง ทุกวันนี้ก็แต่งกายข้ามเพศไปเรียนค่ะไม่มีปัญหาอะไร” ดร.วสวัตติ์ สุติญญามณี…
