A hands-on learning initiative by senior students at Sripatum University’s School of Digital Media is helping first-year students step confidently into their academic journey through creativity, care, and collaboration.
As the new academic year approaches, student leaders from the School of Digital Media organized the “Peer-to-Peer Workshop,” a preparatory activity designed to support first-year students before the official start of classes. The workshop focused on building foundational skills, easing academic transition, and creating a welcoming learning environment through knowledge-sharing between senior and junior students.

The activity emphasized practical learning through basic equipment introduction, watercolor techniques, and creative fundamentals, enabling new students to adjust smoothly to university-level study. By learning directly from experienced peers, participants gained not only technical skills but also confidence, social connection, and a sense of belonging within the academic community.

This initiative reflects Sripatum University’s commitment to quality and inclusive education by expanding access to learning beyond the classroom. The peer-learning model supports lifelong learning opportunities, reduces educational inequalities among students with diverse backgrounds, and strengthens mental well-being by fostering a supportive network during a critical transition period.
The workshop also contributes to workforce readiness by introducing creative and digital media skills that align with the needs of the creative economy. Through student-led collaboration, the activity highlights the role of young leaders in driving innovation, strengthening institutional participation, and building partnerships within the university ecosystem.

Through the “Peer-to-Peer Workshop,” the School of Digital Media demonstrates how student engagement, collaboration, and shared resp
onsibility can transform educational experiences into sustainable impact. Sripatum University continues to empower its students not only as learners, but as contributors to national and global Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing its role as a forward-looking institution committed to people-centered development.
