SPU Empowers Students for the Workforce through CWIE Program
Driving SDG 8.4.1: Expanding Internship Opportunities Across All Disciplines
Sripatum University (SPU) has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development by equipping students with real-world professional experiences through its mandatory Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE) program across all academic disciplines. The initiative aligns directly with SDG 8.4.1 – Proportion of students with work placements longer than one month – and plays a pivotal role in preparing graduates for decent work and economic growth.
In recent years, the university has seen a significant proportion of students engaging in internships ranging from 2 to 8 months. Notably, 73.91% of design students, 56.51% in business administration, and 54.76% in logistics completed internships exceeding one month, with Digital Media alone sending 436 students into the workforce. These placements are made possible through structured partnerships with private-sector companies under formal memorandums of understanding (MOUs), ensuring long-term and scalable collaboration.
Importantly, internship accessibility is equitable across student groups. Organizations offer paid internships or alternative support such as daily lunch and employee shuttle services. These measures remove financial barriers and ensure that all students, regardless of socioeconomic background, can benefit from career-relevant experience.
Beyond increasing internship rates, the CWIE framework enhances workforce readiness by immersing students in real job responsibilities, collaborative environments, and applied problem-solving. This experiential learning transforms theoretical knowledge into practical competency, fostering confidence and adaptability as students transition into full-time employment.
Through its CWIE program, SPU has built a dynamic and inclusive platform that connects education to industry while supporting SDG 8.4.1 and related goals such as 4.4.1, 5.5.1, 10.2.1, and 17.17.5. By enabling professional growth and ensuring broad access to internships, the university continues to bridge the gap between academia and employment, creating a future-ready workforce and reinforcing its global SDG commitment.

ขับเคลื่อน SDG 8.4.1 สู่เป้าหมาย “ฝึกงานทุกคน ฝึกงานทุกสาขา”
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นในการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ผ่านการส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาทุกคนได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์วิชาชีพจริงด้วยรายวิชาสหกิจศึกษา (CWIE) ซึ่งเป็นรายวิชาบังคับในทุกหลักสูตร ครอบคลุมทุกสาขาวิชา โดยมีระยะเวลาฝึกงานตั้งแต่ 2–8 เดือน สอดคล้องโดยตรงกับเป้าหมาย SDG 8.4.1 – สัดส่วนนักศึกษาที่ฝึกงานมากกว่า 1 เดือน
ผลการดำเนินงานล่าสุด พบว่ามีนักศึกษาในหลายสาขาที่ฝึกงานในระยะเกินหนึ่งเดือนในอัตราที่โดดเด่น ได้แก่ สาขาการออกแบบ (73.91%) บริหารธุรกิจ (56.51%) โลจิสติกส์ (54.76%) และสาขาดิจิทัลมีเดียที่มีจำนวนนักศึกษาฝึกงานถึง 436 คน โดยทั้งหมดได้รับการส่งต่อจากความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและบริษัทเอกชนในรูปแบบ MOU ซึ่งรับประกันความมั่นคงและต่อเนื่องในการจัดฝึกงาน
ที่สำคัญ ระบบฝึกงานนี้เปิดโอกาสอย่างเท่าเทียม นักศึกษาทุกกลุ่มสามารถเข้าถึงได้ โดยองค์กรภาคีมีทั้งรูปแบบฝึกงานที่มีค่าตอบแทน และแบบไม่มีค่าตอบแทนแต่สนับสนุนด้วยอาหารกลางวันหรือรถรับส่งพนักงาน ช่วยลดข้อจำกัดทางเศรษฐกิจและสร้างความเสมอภาคในการเข้าถึงประสบการณ์ทำงาน
ประสบการณ์จากสหกิจศึกษาไม่ได้หยุดอยู่แค่ “การฝึกงาน” แต่เป็นการฝึกทักษะจริงในโลกการทำงาน ฝึกการรับผิดชอบงานจริง ฝึกการสื่อสาร การทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่น และการวางแผนการทำงาน ซึ่งล้วนเป็นรากฐานที่มั่นคงในการก้าวสู่ตลาดแรงงานอย่างมั่นใจ
SPU จึงได้แสดงบทบาทสำคัญในการเชื่อมโยงการศึกษากับอุตสาหกรรม พร้อมทั้งสนับสนุนเป้าหมาย SDG 8.4.1 ควบคู่กับเป้าหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องอย่าง 4.4.1, 5.5.1, 10.2.1 และ 17.17.5 มุ่งสร้างบัณฑิตที่พร้อมเข้าสู่การทำงานอย่างมีคุณภาพ พร้อมขับเคลื่อนสังคมสู่อนาคตที่ยั่งยืน
