At district, provincial, national and global tables, SPU brings evidence and the voices of students and low-income communities into the decisions that cut living costs, open decent work and widen opportunity.
Poverty is rarely about income alone. Inflated rents and utility bills, unsafe neighbourhoods, skills that no longer match local jobs and unequal access to education all keep households vulnerable. Sripatum University (SPU) responds by taking a seat where policy is made. Guided by its Alpha Ready Reinventing Roadmap, which commits the university to responsible, sustainable growth and to acting as a co-creation platform with government, business and society, SPU joins policy processes as an institution rather than as a bystander.
During the 2025/26 academic year this work reached every level. In Bangkok’s Chatuchak District, SPU’s Student Activity and Community Relations Centre sits on the District Anti-Drug Operation Centre Committee and helped set safety measures that protect young people’s futures and keep local shops and services trading. In Chonburi, SPU’s Chonburi campus co-led a provincial workshop with the Provincial Education Office to review the province’s education development plan, agreeing priorities on competency-based learning, Eastern Economic Corridor workforce needs, AI in education, teacher quality and a lifelong-learning city.
Nationally, SPU hosted the Secretary-General of the Consumer Protection Board and an adviser to the Prime Minister’s Office to put fair-rental and utility-billing rules into practice, followed by public sessions that showed students and nearby residents how to check their electricity and water charges; SPU’s Rector and executives also worked with the Social Innovation Foundation and the Capital Market Academy on using BOI-CSR incentives to channel private investment into community development. Globally, an SPU faculty leader represented the Sustainable University Network of Thailand (SUN Thailand) at UN Thailand’s country-level dialogue on implementing the Pact for the Future, while an SPU representative of the ASEAN University Network contributed to policy dialogue on inclusive, technology-enabled access to higher education at the Global University Association Forum.
SPU joins policy processes as an institution rather than as a bystander.
The result is practical: students and low-income tenants are better able to challenge unfair charges, young people around campus study in a safer environment, provincial education planning now points more clearly towards decent local jobs, and community development gains new sources of funding. Each forum also returns lessons to SPU’s teaching and outreach, so that the university’s work on social protection, skills and financial inclusion keeps improving.
By helping write the rules that shape everyday costs, safety and opportunity, Sripatum University turns its knowledge into fairer policy, and it will keep bringing the needs of students and vulnerable communities to every table where decisions on poverty are made.

SPU นำองค์ความรู้และเสียงของนักศึกษาและชุมชนรายได้น้อยเข้าสู่โต๊ะนโยบาย ตั้งแต่ระดับเขต จังหวัด ประเทศ จนถึงระดับโลก
ตลอดปีการศึกษา 2568 มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) เข้าร่วมกลไกนโยบายครบทุกระดับ ตั้งแต่คณะกรรมการระดับเขตจตุจักร เวทีทบทวนแผนพัฒนาการศึกษาจังหวัดชลบุรี ความร่วมมือกับ สคบ. และสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี ไปจนถึงเวทีของ UN Thailand เพื่อร่วมกำหนดมาตรการที่ลดภาระค่าครองชีพ ปกป้องเยาวชน และเปิดโอกาสการมีงานทำที่มั่นคง
ความยากจนไม่ได้มีแค่มิติรายได้ ค่าเช่าและค่าน้ำค่าไฟที่สูงเกินจริง ภัยสังคมในชุมชน ทักษะที่ไม่ตรงกับงาน และการเข้าไม่ถึงการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ ล้วนทำให้ครัวเรือนเปราะบาง มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมจึงเลือกใช้บทบาทของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในฐานะผู้ร่วมกำหนดนโยบาย สอดคล้องกับแผนพัฒนาความเป็นเลิศ SPU Alpha Ready Reinventing Roadmap ที่มุ่งเป็นสถาบันที่รับผิดชอบต่อสังคมและเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน และเป็นแพลตฟอร์มร่วมสร้างกับภาครัฐ ภาคธุรกิจ และสังคม
ระดับท้องถิ่น ศูนย์กิจกรรมพัฒนานักศึกษาและชุมชนสัมพันธ์ กลุ่มงานกิจการนักศึกษา เป็นกรรมการศูนย์ปฏิบัติการป้องกันและปราบปรามยาเสพติดเขตจตุจักร และร่วมประชุมวางมาตรการสร้างความปลอดภัยรอบสถานศึกษา ช่วยรักษาต้นทุนมนุษย์ของเยาวชน ลดภาระค่าใช้จ่ายของครัวเรือน และให้ร้านค้าและบริการรอบมหาวิทยาลัยดำเนินกิจการได้อย่างมั่นคง
ระดับภูมิภาค มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม วิทยาเขตชลบุรี โดยผู้ช่วยอธิการบดี ร่วมกับสำนักงานศึกษาธิการจังหวัดชลบุรี เป็นวิทยากรหลักในการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการทบทวนแผนพัฒนาการศึกษาจังหวัดชลบุรี และร่วมกำหนดประเด็นยุทธศาสตร์ด้านสมรรถนะผู้เรียน กำลังคน EEC การใช้ AI ในการเรียนรู้ คุณภาพครู และเมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ที่ยั่งยืน เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนในพื้นที่เข้าถึงงานที่มีคุณค่าและรายได้ที่มั่นคง
ระดับประเทศ รองอธิการบดีต้อนรับเลขาธิการ สคบ. และที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการกำกับธุรกิจให้เช่าที่อยู่อาศัยให้เก็บค่าน้ำค่าไฟตามอัตราที่รัฐกำหนด พร้อมลงพื้นที่ให้ความรู้นักศึกษาและชุมชนโดยรอบเรื่องการคำนวณค่าสาธารณูปโภค นอกจากนี้ อธิการบดีและคณะผู้บริหารยังร่วมหารือกับมูลนิธินวัตกรรมทางสังคมและสถาบันวิทยาการตลาดทุน (วตท.) ในการใช้มาตรการ BOI-CSR นำการลงทุนภาคเอกชนสู่การพัฒนาชุมชน

ระดับโลก ผู้แทนคณะบริหารธุรกิจ ในนามสมาชิก SUN Thailand เข้าร่วมเวที “80 Years of Thailand and the UN” ว่าด้วยการขับเคลื่อน Pact for the Future ณ UN Thailand และผู้แทน SPU ในนามเครือข่ายมหาวิทยาลัยอาเซียน (AUN) ร่วมเวที Global University Association Forum เสนอกลไกการหารือเชิงนโยบายเพื่อขยายการเข้าถึงการศึกษาอย่างทั่วถึง ผลที่เกิดขึ้นคือนักศึกษาและผู้เช่ารายได้น้อยรู้สิทธิและปกป้องตนเองจากค่าบริการที่ไม่เป็นธรรม ชุมชนรอบมหาวิทยาลัยปลอดภัยขึ้น และแผนการศึกษาระดับจังหวัดเชื่อมโยงกับงานในพื้นที่ชัดเจนขึ้น
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมจะเดินหน้านำความต้องการของนักศึกษาและกลุ่มเปราะบางเข้าสู่ทุกเวทีที่กำหนดนโยบายเพื่อขจัดความยากจนต่อไป
