Reporting period: 1 August 2025 – 31 July 2026
One page, one year, every commitment: SPU’s public account of how it cared for minds and bodies on campus and carried health services and skills to the people around it.

Sripatum University (SPU) reports its progress on SDG 3 openly every year, because well-being only improves when the work can be seen and checked. This report covers the 2025/26 academic year (1 August 2025 – 31 July 2026). Under the Alpha Ready Roadmap, SPU treats health as the ground that learning and work stand on. Every student and staff member should be able to find care, learn healthy habits and know what to do in an emergency. The same care reaches the communities beside our campuses.
Students: mind, body and safety. The Wellness Counselling Centre gives free, confidential counselling to students in every year. In August 2025, staff learned to listen well and spot warning signs, so that a student in distress meets a helping adult sooner. In September 2025, the centre and student club members joined World Suicide Prevention Day with the Thai Suicide Prevention Association, the Department of Mental Health and the Samaritans of Thailand. In December 2025, student leaders co-designed campus well-being activities at ThaiHealth’s Soul Connect Fest. In January 2026, the centre handed out free masks during the PM2.5 haze. In March 2026, it showed students how to transfer their Gold Card health coverage and why yearly check-ups matter. At Freshy Day in July 2026, new students received free health screening, HIV testing, PrEP information and confidential counselling with the Rainbow Sky Association of Thailand. In June 2026, the Metropolitan Health and Wellness Institution of the Department of Health trained students and staff in CPR and AED use on manikins. Aviation students also practised CPR and first aid with a physician-led team. Students and staff gave blood with the Thai Red Cross in March and June 2026. SPU GAMEs and the student health-sports season kept young people active in mixed teams.
Staff, communities and partners. Staff received on-campus health checks with Bangpakok 9 International Hospital and flu vaccination paid for by the university. Step-count and “Happy Walk Hour” challenges, a stroke-awareness talk with screening, and healthy-plate coaching from the Thai Non-Belly Network all helped lower the risk of non-communicable diseases. A free mobile dental clinic served staff and neighbours. In January 2026, “Sripatum Delivers Happiness to the Community #2” brought EKG and health screening with Nawamin Medical Center to the Bang Bua public housing community. SPU staff collected unused, unexpired medicines for Umphang Hospital on the western border and sent emergency medical kits to Border Patrol Police units. At SPU Chonburi, an agreement with Na Pa Municipality supports an elderly school for health and lifelong learning, and “Healthy Aging” art-and-science sessions run with the municipal medical division. SPU Chonburi also joined a health-promoting university network of six Eastern universities. SPU logistics lecturers spoke on healthy workplaces at a ThaiHealth seminar, and students won national awards for road-safety and anti-smoking media. Researchers published on mothers living with cardiometabolic disease and won grants on healthy ageing. The Building 9 indoor sports centre hosted Thai Basketball League games open to the public. Next year SPU plans to widen mental-health support, expand staff NCD screening and keep health days in Bang Bua and Chonburi running every year.
Every student and staff member should be able to find care, learn healthy habits and know what to do in an emergency.
At Sripatum University, reporting on SDG 3 is a promise kept in public. Each year we show how we look after the health of our people and neighbours, what changed, and where we will do more, so that everyone in our community can live a healthier, safer life.
