Sripatum University (SPU) is actively contributing to SDG 15.1 by initiating vital conservation projects such as mangrove planting to restore coastal ecosystems and sustainable land use to support local biodiversity. Through these initiatives, SPU demonstrates a strong commitment to preserving terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and raising environmental awareness among students and surrounding communities.
SPU’s recent mangrove restoration project, titled “Towards Net Zero with Mangrove Planting,” involved students and faculty working alongside local military teams to plant 300 mangrove trees along the coast of Samut Prakan. This project aligns with Target 15.1, promoting conservation of terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems. By fostering hands-on student participation, SPU enhances their understanding of ecosystem restoration, emphasizes the importance of mangroves in carbon capture, and strengthens resilience to climate change. Additionally, SPU is improving sustainable land use practices within its campus, expanding green spaces, preserving existing trees, and repurposing vacant land for education infrastructure—all of which create a greener environment and foster community engagement.
Through projects focused on ecosystem restoration and sustainable land management, SPU is setting a standard for environmental responsibility. These initiatives are crucial for meeting SDG 15.1, reinforcing SPU’s commitment to a sustainable and ecologically balanced future.

มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุมเป็นผู้นำการอนุรักษ์อย่างยั่งยืนด้วยการฟื้นฟูป่าชายเลนและโครงการใช้ที่ดินอย่างยั่งยืน
มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม (SPU) มีส่วนร่วมใน SDG 15.1 โดยการริเริ่มโครงการอนุรักษ์ที่สำคัญ เช่น การปลูกป่าชายเลนเพื่อฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศชายฝั่งและการใช้ที่ดินอย่างยั่งยืนเพื่อสนับสนุนความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพในพื้นที่ โดย SPU ได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการอนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศทางบกและน้ำจืด รวมถึงสร้างความตระหนักในด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมให้แก่นักศึกษาและชุมชนโดยรอบ
โครงการฟื้นฟูป่าชายเลนล่าสุดของ SPU ภายใต้ชื่อ “ปลูกต้นไม้ มุ่งสู่ Net Zero” มีนักศึกษาและอาจารย์เข้าร่วมปลูกต้นโกงกางจำนวน 300 ต้นบริเวณชายฝั่งจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ร่วมกับหน่วยทหารท้องถิ่น ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายย่อย 15.1 โดยเน้นการอนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศทางบกและน้ำจืด และการให้ความรู้ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมผ่านการมีส่วนร่วมของนักศึกษา นอกจากนี้ SPU ยังส่งเสริมการใช้ที่ดินอย่างยั่งยืนภายในวิทยาเขต โดยขยายพื้นที่สีเขียว ดูแลรักษาต้นไม้ที่มีอยู่ และเปลี่ยนที่ดินว่างเปล่าให้เป็นพื้นที่สำหรับการศึกษาเพื่อสร้างสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน
ด้วยโครงการที่มุ่งเน้นการฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศและการจัดการที่ดินอย่างยั่งยืน SPU ได้สร้างมาตรฐานด้านความรับผิดชอบทางสิ่งแวดล้อม โครงการเหล่านี้เป็นส่วนสำคัญต่อการบรรลุเป้าหมาย SDG 15.1 และตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นของ SPU ต่ออนาคตที่ยั่งยืนและสมดุลทางระบบนิเวศ
